  1. I’ll tell ya what the Flyers need……a whole year off to get their crap together. I’ve watched every minute of every game so far and there is ZERO structure. ZERO identity. ZERO confidence. ZERO defense. This team is farther away from what they looked like from last season. I don’t know if it’s coaching (I think it is, especially their system). The team as a whole looks flat, lifeless, clueless at times, and in need of some desperate help on the backend along with natural goal scorers.

    Also, Sanheims goal was a 4 on 4, not 5 on 5.

  2. This game was not on the goalie, everyone can see their is no chemistry with any 5 that's put on the ice. If they don't start winning torts my be gone. Come on boys get with it.

  3. Jason, how can you expect the forward lines to develop chemistry when the coach seems to be spinning a wheel every period and sending different lines out there? Last night I saw a line with Couts, Tippet and Michkov, then Laughton was moved on that line and Tippet was taken off, then Couts was removed and Poehling as moved between them. Sometimes this happened with a single period! It's too much. The coaching staff has got to set the lines and give the players 5-10 games together and not change anything, barring injuries and special teams of course.

  4. You are correct Jason. The same team from last year. But what a difference in play. Would have thought they have 5 new players on the team. There seems to be a lack of confidence, tenacity, and passion.

  5. Drysdale and Zamula look absolutely awful. The turnovers are so bad, i dont even think these guys are looking when they make passes. This team doesnt have a number 1 or 2 center. This is going to be a rough season for this team and its fans.

  6. I feel like the schedule really hurt the start to this season just being out west, you beat a team like Vancouver to start, play Edmonton, etc and coming back home that same team you beat is already there waiting for ya so that game was a trap in itself plus playing the caps off of all that next isn’t great not because they are the greatest team ever but they have size and you know going into that game it’s going to be physical and I feel like the flyers just didn’t come into the game with that mentality even tho they definitely should have no excuses just didn’t go how they wanted it. Tonight is going to be rough as well because of the back to back but I’m interested in seeing if Fedotov can put together a great showing and get us a W 🤞

  7. Last year Tortorella decided to win any way he could and had the team blocking 20 shots a game to the point where they were wiped at the 50-game mark. Then during the homestretch with playoffs in their sights, with no Carter Hart, no Sean Walker and no Seeler, the coach pulled his big “nobody on this team knows how to play hockey” speech and it totally backfired—the team played even worse.

Now he’s juggling the lines like he’s got ADHD—panicking five games into the season. Torts’ strategy ain’t working and he could lose this group really fast.
