Recapping & reacting after the end of a wild ride for the 2024 New York Mets | The Mets Pod | SNY

On the latest episode of The Mets Pod presented by Tri-State Cadillac, Connor Rogers and Joe DeMayo put the wraps on the 2024 New York Mets as the wild ride of the season finally comes to an end. The guys share their reaction to the end of the magical Mets postseason run, do a full recap of the NLCS, rate their favorite Mets meme of the year, and chose a team MVPVP – that’s Most Valuable Player, Vice President – because Francisco Lindor is the obvious first choice. Later, Connor and Joe flash back to their preseason predictions (some were very right and some were hilariously wrong), tease a ton of offseason content to come, and open the Mailbag to answer questions about Kodai Senga in 2025, their favorite small moments of the year, and so much more. Be sure to subscribe to The Mets Pod at Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.

  1. Proud to be a Mets fan since I was a kid sitting in my bedroom making an audio recording of the Mets first game. Excited about 2025. You two gentlemen do a fabulous job and make the whole fan experience all the more enjoyable. LGM

  2. Mets fans should feel proud of what the achievements they've done, they had a great 2nd half of the year after a brutal and dismal April and May quite honestly
Mets for 2025-2026 should be great and they should bring them back and run it again

  3. Lovable… LOSERS! Compared to Yanks and Dodgers, the Mets franchise is pathetic, Dodgers won WS 4 years ago and Yanks have 27 titles, yet the Mets payroll was the highest;(

  4. Great Podcast guys! I usually listen on Spotify and don’t get to comment, but like many others I really appreciate your show! Great analysis and level headed LOGICAL takes and conversations. Great job!

  5. My favorite minor moment was when I was at the Toronto game where the Mets were being no-hit through 8 innings ,and Lindor started off the 9th with a home run, and the Mets went on to win the game.

  6. Awesome episode guys!! Great way to end the season and begin the offseason… How about them Mets?! Not too shabby for a team that was evaluating a punt season with an under performing core and an overpaid shortstop. 🤣 JK… I couldn't be more proud of these guys. I have watched some of them go from a team that didn't know, to a team that does and I hope it drives this core to want more and continue to strive to be the best, standing at the end… going forward.

Look forward to offseason talk next week and I am listening to everyone I trust in this sport (present company included) about who they think should or shouldn't come back and why, and its helping me make my own assessment based on what I liked and saw with this team and what are some of the things I think would benefit the team next season; not expecting anything of course, I know my place and how very little I actually know about baseball, but I am an obsessed Met fan none the less and have opinions about my team and what it will look. We are all in it together! 🙂LGM!
