How are the Ottawa Senators looking early-on this season?
On today’s episode of The Senstennial Podcast, hosts Matt and Matt give their way too early/most certainly premature analysis of the Ottawa Senators through their first five games of the 2024-25 NHL season. We discuss our observations of the forward group, highlighted by Brady Tkachuk, Tim Stutzle, Claude Giroux, Drake Batherson, Josh Norris, Shane Pinto, and stand-out performers within the bottom six. We also discuss the defensive corp, how it’s had to adapt without Artem Zub in the line-up, the chemistry between Tyler Kleven and Jacob Bernard-Docker, Jensen fitting in with the group, and the great play of Jake Sanderson. Finally, we discuss Ottawa’s goaltending, when we hope to see Linus Ullmark back in action, whether Anton Forsberg can be a reliable back-up, and more!
Ottawa’s three-game road trip kicks off tonight against the Utah Hockey Club. GO SENS GO!

Bad goaltending from forsberg
Sanderson might not just be the top defenceman on the team, there's an argument to be made he's been the best player on the team so far this season.
