  1. My game plan this off-season:

    1. SP- 1 if not 2 FA on 1 year deals. Not going to rush Dana or Algeheri. Let them cook and maybe a call up around the All-Star game to see how they progress.

    2. 2B/3B- Again, not going to rush Christian Moore. Make the decision if Rengifo is going to play 2nd or 3B. If not Wagaman is another option for 3B. Rendon lost his job and can't depend on him . He's the expensive backup, batting 9th, and playing day games only. Reality is you can't play more than 60 games. We need someone else to play the 100 plus games Rendon can't.

    3. Veteran Catcher- Thaiss doesn't cut it anymore. I'm bringing up Chad Wallach to backup O'Hoppe and help mentor him anyway he can.

    4. OF- The battle for depth. Campero or Teodosio can make their case. Ward will probably be too expensive about $9M for ArturoBall's budget.

    5. Trout- You're my everyday DH now. No more talk of the playing OF even at a corner spot is just another distraction. Reality is your 33 and some might say out of your prime. Maybe this change can be the resurgence of your career.

    Arturoball is going to dictate what kind of a season we have. No more unwanted cheap DFA bargains. Your talk is all lies now and just need to prove us wrong.

  2. We all have our opinions and are free to share them in this space. I personally feel that we burden young talent w/ way too much pressure to perform. We lose w/ athletic ease and reversing that trend takes time and talent. Keep Dana and Moore down for at least another season. Don’t even bring them up prior to the end of the season. Keep them healthy and yearning to learn.

    Why make a mistake w/ unmistakable talent? We stand more to gain. We already know how to lose.

  4. Good show today, ya'll. Doesn't it seem like only about 20% of FAs meet or exceed expectations? It's true, and the Pareto principle is apparently universal. Three- to four-year deals at the max. Avoid the monster dollar and term deals. Those almost certainly will fail and have been overwhelmingly failures, even the superstar extensions. Moreover, teams that eschew those milestones have and will still win, including World Series titles.
