How Johnny Gaudreau lives on through his Best Friend…

The Columbus Blue Jackets and Florida Panthers paid tribute to Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau last night, in a tremendously heartfelt ceremony. It moved not only the Gaudreau family but also the fans that had gathered for the Blue Jackets home opener. Let’s briefly cover all the memorials and stories from the night together.

And if you are able, consider supporting the fundraiser for MADD (Mother’s against Drunk Driving) on the sidebar. Any small amount helps make sure no one ever has to feel this pain again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fW0XTUfYuS8&ab_channel=EarboySport

  1. We will never forget you Johnny and Matthew man Johnny you made people proud Matthew I thought you were going to be like your brother we never forget both of you and I’m feeling their parents pain

  2. So sick of this fake emotional garbage 🤦‍♂️ "ouuu look how special we are we are give us attention because we are so sad about this person I don't know is no longer here"

The guy was a great player & was a tragedy sure but enough with this stupid garbage that's only being done so YOU can get attention when it's supposed to be him

  3. Fucking sad, but such an awesome tribute that will be remembered forever! Not only by the fans but by the team as well.
RIP Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau 🖤🖤🖤
Both of you will never be forgotten 🕊️

  4. I got the privilege to go see the opening night of the ECHL team called the Worcester Railers where they played their opening night against the Reading Royals and it was a very emotional night seeing both teams having a memorial as the Railers had Matty and the Royals had Johnny at one point. Both teams started with 4 players as well as their numbers are permanently in the ice for this season and Matty will have his own jerseys auctioned off from Worcester this year. Love to both families from Worcester ❤️‍🩹

  5. I love how hockey players are so supportive of each other. Like when Lindblom had cancer and the whole league came together to support him. When Proverov didn't want to wear the LGBT jerseys because it's agaisnt his religion. ESPN and other idiots wanted a suspension…. so the NY Rangers whole team decided not to wear them on "pride night". No other sport has the level of sportsmanship the NHL has.
