Why the Thunder’s New Offense is Impossible to Stop

The OKC Thunder dominated the Denver Nuggets in their season opener, so I dove into the film to break down their new-look offense.

  1. Great video! Would love to see more like this. 🫡
Sga & the thunder are gonna be so tough this season… although denver didnt play great at all, id expect them to be much better next time they play okc.

  2. Imagine Caruso/Dort in dunker spot, Shai and I.Hart doing pick n roll/hand-off, and Chet and JDub are ready to spot-up for 3 or attack the close-out. Unlimited options for open looks 😬

  3. And their defense is one of the best in the league
And let's not forget the coach and the general manager they are geniuses
And the depth of this team is scary

  4. This is awesome Alex, please do more of these breakdowns. Specifically getting the NBA public audience more familiar with these type of pet sets & schemes that most teams work out of.

    Great stuff mate!

  5. Fantastic video! Love how you can see each time how the Denver defence breaks down. I wonder if this season isn't just going to be the OKC vs Boston show, both just look that good.

  6. In a desperate bid to get Finland mentioned, i'd love to see similar video from Grizzlies, who got Tuomas Iisalo as their assistant coach to run the offence.

Iisalo created historically good (European standards) offence for Paris last season and some of his plays are pretty cool.

  7. 4:56 The Celtics killed Dallas with this play in the finals. That was the game Jrue Holiday outplayed the Mavs. The Spurs are trying this same play with Jeremy Sochan in the last 4 games in pre-season and the opener game vs Dallas.
