I like the idea. The issue I have is that we need outfielders. They guys we would have to trade are the guys that would be getting time in the outfield in the minors.
Its nice for Talking Points …..But a little to early. I'm sure The Mets want to keep Pete – depending on offers come forth. I'd hate ton see him go to the Phillies like Wheeler and Murphy to the Nats. The Mets have very Interesting Puzzles to solve and evaluate?? They are counting on Senga coming back strong? That may be a gamble!! Sign Manea, Stanek, and Sevvy for sure, IMHO.

They are not going to trade the farm for a Burnes or Vlad Jr., having only just managed to replenish the farm and start getting some productive players into the big league team.
Sorry, I would not trade the farm for one year plus a huge extension for Vlad Jr. The Alonso replacement should be a guy like Christian Walker on a reasonable free agent contract. Not into Bregman either, as his age.
Sources close to the Athletics say a Brett Baty based deal for Mason Miller could happen this off-season.

Vlad and Soto and a DH with Acuna in CF another kid at 2B for McNeil for that Jordan Montgomery trade idea yet another HR. Solves our offense for the next 7 years minimum and we know how too find pitching and put them in our LAB names being Buller Bibber THOR Snell PURE POWER ARMSthen fixing the Bullpen making it 8 shutout deep.
I am confident that we will not repeat the error of signing veteran players. The Mets likely do not want Verlander and Max due to their experience. Willie Adame will probably be on the Mets roster next year, or a substantial trade with the Blue Jays may happen, which is logical. Nevertheless, our primary focus should be on obtaining a superior pitcher to bolster competitiveness.
