12. No shot that jags give up on their first overall pick Walker. He has become a mainstay of their defense, and they would have a hard time replacing his production with a pair of late-round picks. I wouldn't be pursuing that idea with him coming to detroit anytime soon.

17. I hope we don't bring back Davenport. He's literally just gonna continue the streak of injuries. Such crap. We won't make a Superbowl run with what we have at DE right now, so if it means something to Brad he has to make a move. What about Hendrickson, Landry, Zadarius. I'm hoping for either Landry the 3rd or Hendrickson. Uche is another one I would love. He has to make a move tho. Or this season is not worth anything. If we can't get a pass rush going in the playoffs we're gonna be cooked.

22. If Brad makes a move, it won't be until the end of the deadline. Let the Browns, Raiders, Bengals, Jags and Patriots potentially lose another game or 2, let the desperation kick in, the need to clear cap space and prepare for a rebuild/retooling that will require plenty of rookie contracts – boom, its time to strike. Right now, everyone knows the Lions are looking for a DE, and they're expecting us to be desperate. If we keep winning, and they keep losing, the leverage flips in our favor a little bit. We inherit less of a cap hit as well.

    If anything, I expect Brad to strike next week. We are favored to win against the Titans, and most of the teams above aren't playing favorable matchups. He might not want to wait until the Packer game and risk losing.

23. Honestly idec anymore… the lions are clearly not going to make a trade, it’s a bad decision and I get more upset as the deadline nears, cause I know they probably not even trying to make a trade.

26. Yeah, no team is trading away their best defensive player. It would cost us way too much. We just need someone to go can contribute. We don’t need a top 5 pass rusher.

27. I never thought we had a change to get them. Doesn’t mean I wasn’t hoping against all hope, but this isn’t baseball. NFL teams don’t typically trade their superstar players because they are having a bad year. Especially DE’s too hard to replace. I actually will be surprised if the titans let Landry go.

28. While I was wanting and hoping for Maxx or Myles, I think in the back of my head I knew it wasn't happening. The price is too high if it's even being considered by the Browns or Raiders. We can be sure Brad has called on both of them, and we don't know what was offered, but whatever the asking price was, it was enough to apparently make not just us but all the other teams blanch at it. Given that they think we're desperate it might have even been higher than we think, say our 1st rd picks the next two years and three years of 2nd rd picks, or maybe they said, "Give us two 1st rd picks and Brian Branch." Now it's possible with no one willing to give a king's ransom that the price might drop as the deadline approaches, or both teams could be banking on some team caving and giving that king's ransom.

    I've always kind of thought though that Za'Darius Smith and Harold Landry were the most likely options, Smith because he would be relatively cheap and the Lions have plenty of film on him and experience playing against him, and Landry because our DL coach Terrell Williams knows him, and the Lions like players that their coaching staff is familiar with.

29. Don’t know that Brad was gonna cough it up for either of these guys anyway. But, these teams have received calls already, so they know what teams are willing to give. Maybe they aren’t impressed with going rates. They might be putting these statements out to drive prices up.

30. Not mad at bringing back Davenport, but i do think we need someone else to start ahead of him. If he saves his picks and doesnt trade for anyone then put a huge package together (including James Houston😂) in the draft to move up in the draft and get their guy.
