Alright, this is getting pretty insane
Nhl today – Winnipeg jets vs calgary flames went back and forth with plenty of entertainment, an… interesting game-altering call and the winnipeg jets remaining the only undefeated team in the 2024-25 nhl season at 8-0. Jets flames game are usually good and this one was no exception but the rasmus andersson stare down plus his elite level play have sure catapulted him to the top of flames talking points in this early season alongside nazem kadri last night . HOW ARE THE JETS STILL 8-0 😭 My brother’s a sharks fan and he wishes he could switch with the jets rn lollll
first ☝️
The NHL's script rn is don't let the Jets lose 💀
GoJetsGo!!
Its a lovely Sunday here in the Peg. Bombers clinch and Jets go 8-0. I am starting to believe !! Thanks JH
As a Leafs fan seeing all the Western Canadian teams tearing it up is both impressive and infuriating. Credit to the Flames, Jets and Canucks but the f is going on with the Buds is pissing off a lot of Leafs Nation. Now we get Winnipeg tomorrow night, it’s getting close to “panic button” time.. 🙆♂️
The stare down is my favorite
As a Jets fan in Winnipeg I think most would agree yeah the Kadri slash was a soft call, but my counterpoint is always that there were other non-called infractions both before and after it, the dueling 5on3 PKs for both teams was electric. It was a great game to watch but an absolutely flukey one for the tendies. Comrie and Wolf both had 2 awkward goals go in, with the first goals happening on their first shots against a piece.
I’m really hoping we can hit 9 at least and take it at home against Toronto but after last nights debacle they’re going to be hungry for 2 points, and home games against the Leafs are always tough for the Jets so it could go either way. If we make it passed em I’m really hoping we can make some real history, this team has earned it.
go jets go
WHERE IS RUTGER
We love the Ras stare
Soft call, but counterpoint: don't slash people directly on the hands for no reason
I love the stare down. I hope he scores 50 this year so we keep seeing it lmao. Not gonna happen but one can hope
As an oilers fan the stare down is the goat celly
Oilers fans know that the stare down is probably the scariest thing they will have to experience when playing the Flames. They've gotten stomped on year, after year. The thing they're best at right now is falling short.
Let's see how much longer they can keep it up! If they hit double digits, that will be INSANE!
Andersson can get a haul and a half if Calgary moves him (granted, they crash down to earth)
To be fair the Jets were extremely lucky to win that one! Have you seen their goals??? Lol
Everything is going their way right now. But this is not sustainable for long.
This stare down thing makes me laugh. You haven’t won anything yet and you’re starring down a fan? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Special teams made the difference
Even with the loss last night, you have to be proud of this flames team. They were in that game till the very end
He stare down for nothing. Clown!
Teams have winning streaks. Teams have losing streaks.
Its a long season.
Edmonton started like 💩 last year and made the final.
St.Louis' 'Gloria' run..
No sense getting too shook over something we've seen over and over.
Dustin Wolf is from my South Silicon Valley hometown. I grew up going to see the Flames in San Jose. The odds of him winding up on the Flames after being drafted so late…and just killing it in any league ending with an L….its awesome for a fan. Couldn’t be happier with the Flames. This was a great summary that forecasts the future dismay of Jets fans, Rasmus being a goofball and the slashing penalty being real-adjacent but contextually stupid.
All of this success and recent ‘respectable’ close defeats…..it’s all been without Yegor. Yegor is back. And Yegor good,
As a Jets fan, I’m pretty sure we’re all holding our breath, waiting to see how much the team can keep this going. We’d honestly much rather this was in playoffs than the start of the season. But it is so fun to watch right now!!
we have to beat leafs Monday for 9-0. Give TSN something to talk about.
Video on the jackets? They have statistically the best line in the world.
Are you staring at me?
That Flames player Zayer(?) getting his tooth knocked out was totally hockey. Stands up, toothless, bloody grin, goes back to the bench for his next shift.
1:26 "on the road against one of your biggest rivals" hey man I don't think theres been a rivalry between these teams in like 10 years.
despite two regulation losses in a row, the hockey guy (check him out, even though hes a canucks fan) moved the flames up in his power rankings. sure they lost but they showed that they can hang in against some of the best clubs.
To my mind, in both they played very sloppy. a lot of missed passes, far FAR too much over-passing, and not enough quality shots. But the refs shafted the Flames in last nights game. No call in the first on that high-stick, and then that ridiculous slashing call in the third. Flames had all the momentum after killing off 90 seconds of 5 v 3, and the refs just ripped that out from under them.
Meanwhile over here in Toronto we're battling it out for that second wild card ticket. No guts no glory!
Definitely not a “soft” 2 handed slash to the stick right between the hands, also was the third time Kadri two handed a slash behind the jets net in the game.
To be fair, there was 2 soft penalty calls on jets. That 2 handed slash on pionks hands was a pretty clear penalty
