  1. Jusse finally loose in Nashville. Was starting to worry about the Preds bedding in the new players. Battle of the big goalie contracts too, not Swaymans night this time. There wilbe others. ๐Ÿค”

  2. Her: "He's probably thinking about other girls…"

Him: "I wonder how Shannon managed to watch all 16 NHL games today and take notes for every game…"

  3. 29:24 Given he is leading the league in hits (at least he was until last night – I haven't looked), which is exactly the quality Hugs saw in him that made him glad he was on the same team now, so far Sherwood has come exactly as advertised. Imagine him and DJ on the same line when DJ returns? Illegal line pairing. lol.

  4. The Penguins Flames game went basically how I wanted it.

I didn't really care who won. I figured Calgary would win. I'm just happy it went to overtime so they both got at least one point.

  5. First point: just because there is a play after a stoppage doesn't mean they can't go back and review things. Just ask Terry McAulay and the 2001 Cleveland Browns.

Second point: THAT WINGS GAME WAS ABSOULTE TRASH! I refuse to give them any real credit beyond Lyon for having magnets in his pads.

  6. The injury bug is back with a vengeance again in Montreal, make it STOP ffs ๐Ÿ›‘๐Ÿ›‘๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿš‘ It shows when Guhle isn't in the lineup, his +4 is in big contrast to the other dman and those who have taken the opportunity to be inserted in the lineup aren't amazing, this Strudle isn't toasty enough, when he first showed up he was feeding perfect passes and we sure need dmen who are able to pass other than Matheson and Savard, Guhle's development has been so stunted, 3 injuries last year, all short term pretty much, but i'm so sick of it. Guhle is transforming into what we expect Barron, Mailloux, Hutson to be in a couple years. As for Xhekaj, he isn't the Xhekaj from 22-23 who played all season, thats right, he got injured, where he used that knuckleball shot from the blue line in crowded traffic that made it seem it wasn't going to get into the pack of players on one side of the goalie but suddenly showed up in the five-hole or on the complete other side, I think all of his 5 goals that season were made that way. Last season, they tried things by sending him and Barron to Laval in midseason and bring up Struble and another guy I'm blanking on, I know, as we do again, had Lindstrom, who had 2 exactly carbon copy goals out of nowhere then shipped him to Anaheim for free and we got him back. I guess he'll have some ice time, won't hurt to have a def def with that huge pack of young guys on D that are still figuring themselves out, except for Guhle, he's figured himself out last year, hopefully he'll be back quick, same for, many kind of not mentioned it but Slavkovsky was also at the ๐Ÿš‘ clinic for his shoulder….isn't that why he didn't play all 82 games last year? At least they say it's not gonna be long. Let's just forget this one happened fellow Habs fans, at least Kreider didn't score.

  7. I was at the Vegas / Los Angeles game, and while Sampsonov looked great, Los Angeles looked worn out. I know they have that long road trip to start the season, but I remember the Kings were an excellent road team last year.

The Golden Knights have looked much better at home, with a 4-0 record on home ice.

On a side note, I was kind of miserable at the game. Not the same kind of miserable as the Kings fans (who vanished at some point). They were just seeing their team get their ass handed to them. Me, it was illness that was doing a huge number of my body and mind. I got to feeling better on the way home… but only because I vomited… in my car, and all over my favorite jersey. Being the late game didn't do me any favors on that (and overnight, I got a second look at everything I ate over the past few days as I purged everything).

  8. Rangers look unstoppable this season. If the star players actually show up in the playoffs i canโ€™t see any team beating a roster that stacked with the best goalie in the league. Itโ€™s like tampa with vas

  9. Lost behind the goaltending issues and all the injuries, the Avs have quietly put a pretty deep team. They are getting production from more than just the big 3

  10. Thank you for the video Shannon but I have to state a rebuttal to your point about stopping play after puck drop to review a potential goal. Iโ€™ve seen it many times now in games so not sure why you think otherwise?

  11. As a long-time Preds STH with consistently limited coverage in the form of a few mediums such as podcasts (ex. Gold Standard), Predlines, SBNation's OTF, etc., I always look forward to Shannon. Much appreciated, sir, and we were all quite pleased with the showing vs the Bruins. Other platforms only cover them when they do something exceptional, usually a slump, or around game 12-13 of a 16-0-2 run. ๐Ÿ˜…

  12. That the Rangers scored 7 without Kreider getting a single point is baffling and speaks volumes about their depth.

Also the first Saad goal was his 500th career point, for what it's worth.
