GAME RECAP: Penguins at Canucks (10.26.24) | Beauvillier, Malkin, Rust Each Score Third Goal

The final game of the Penguins’ Western Canada trip was in Vancouver. Anthony Beauvillier opened the scoring for Pittsburgh with an excellent tip before the halfway point of the 1st period. Early in the 2nd, Bryan Rust increased the Penguins’ lead with a wraparound tally of his own. Shortly after, the Canucks scored three in a row over a one-minute-and-five-second span. Pettersson, Sherwood, and Miller found the back of the net to give the home team its first lead of the evening. Bains added to Vancouver’s advantage before the period was over, making the score 4-2 entering the final 20 minutes. Evgeni Malkin caught a puck with speed and buried it in the 3rd period, but it wasn’t enough as the Canucks won, 4-3.

  1. That road trip should seal the deal on Mike Sullivan's tenure in Pittsburgh. Good luck with the Olympics coach, thank you for two Cups, and best of luck in the future.
