The Suns love doesnt make a lot of sense to me. They can score like crazy of course, but with how small that team is [what are they gonna do, play Book a lineup of Jones, Beal, Book at the 3? That's horrible defensively] they're going to have trouble. The having to think about the Wolves-Nuggets matchup too is bizarre to me. Mike Conley is 37 and looks every bit of 37 right now and it's game 1 of the season. Dude might well be absolutely washed. If he's washed they're gonna score like 85 a night in the playoffs because Randle cant shoot, Rudy cant shoot, and the only guy you have to guard on the perimeter is Ant [and Divincenzo when he plays].
Jokic doesn't even want the MVP no more, stop giving him prizes he is just going to leave in the locker, we need to focus on making the playoffs this year. I had SGA winning MVP last year. Go Nuggets!!
Malone was using that rotation to test CB, Strawther, and Russ with both lineups, and I'm hoping he came to the same conclusion as everyone else. CB does not fit with the bench, and Russ does not fit with Jamal – making Porter the obvious stagger guy
"Nuggets are gonna win game 7"
Williams had 19ppg last year. How is 20 an improvement?
Denver is definitely getting the chip this year.
It's all about matchups. If the Wolves matchup against the Suns, that's adios Suns again! Nuggets-Suns? Without KCP Devin Booker is a lot harder to stop, so that's a tough matchup for the Nuggets, perhaps the worst in the Western Conference now. If it's OKC-Denver that's a tough matchup for the Nuggets because they score so many 3's. But, if it's OKC v Mavs, well we all saw last year how the Mavs crushed them! If it's Denver-Lakers the Nuggets have beaten them 8 of the last 9. Lakers-MN? Different story. Jokic and Murray just destroy the Lakers, but against the Timberwolves? Not so much. If its Denver-MN, MN losing KAT is big. That 2nd 7footer really made it easier to defend Joker, now they don't have that. If it's Dallas-MN, we saw Luca obliterate Jaden McDaniels. They don't have a defender who can stop him. If Denver gets favorable matchups then they could easily win the Western Conference, but the same could be said of the MAVs, Thunder and Timberwolves.
Tiny Archibald was the only player to ever lead NBA in PPG & APG and it was in 72-73. I thought every NBA head knew this.
