  1. You did a great job talking about the dark history of The Canucks! I became a fan of The Canucks in 94', and I had no idea how much Messier screwed up the team, so you've done an excellent job talking about what happened behind the scenes. I've subscribed and I hope your channel grows! Cheers!

  2. Some things were bad for Messier I don't think he should have taken that one dudes number from the rafters or taken the captaincy from Linden. As far as Messier dictating trades I thin that is alot of rumor and innuendo. Unless you were in the room you don't know was talked about. I also don't think it was wrong to bring in Keenan. A guy that had helped coach the Rangers to a stanley cup. Turned out to be the wrong movie in the long run but if the Canucks had won a cup with Keenan they'd all be singing his praises. As far as being mad about Messiers big contract and decline on ice performance. That is a fair criticism but they signed a player that was 36 most players start to drasticly decline in their late 30s. It's a big risk to sign a player at that age for alot of money the Canucks management knew this took the risk and it bit them. As far as Messier suing them the Canucks management signed the deal so be mad at the Canucks office for allowing such a stupid deal. Most of this seems like nit picking. They thought Messier would be their savior and win the Canucks a cup it failed and now they are looking for any excuse to blame it all on Messier. Maybe they should have used that 11 million to sign some young up and coming players instead of Messier.

  3. If Messier realized it was potentially an issue to wear #11, he could have just changed on his own. Thatā€™s what Ian Cole did when he found out #28 was last worn by Luc Bourdon.

  4. Messier is an airhead. His book is a collection of pages containing excuses and vague "would'ves, should'ves". In an alternate universe, Gretzky signed with Vancouver and Messier went elsewhere . The guy is a giant steaming pile of poo. I hope someone kicks him in the balls.

  5. As horribly egotistical and arrogant and dirty and inhuman Messier (always) was, it sounds like at least 1/2 this mess was due to HORRIBLE ownership conditions; the Orca Bay ownership didn't seem to give a shit about hockey, the team, or Vancouver for that matter. It was an investment all the way, to make money, and then get out. Worked out for them, so, I hope they're all so proud of themselves.

  6. I lost all respect for Messier when he 2 handed Thomas Gardein of the Canucks in the head .the man should have been band for the rest of the season. He should have gone to jail. And then 5here was the Linden hit. The man is a cheap shot coward. The man is a pile of dog crap.

  7. These guys are unbelievable with numbers, who gives a shyt, just make sure the money is deposited into my bank account and the government keeps its hands off, then he should have changed the number to 111, come on Mark,be a leader

  8. If this video doesnā€™t change your mind about who Messier was as a person, a video compilation of Messier cross-checking players from the back ought to do it.

  9. Not much can take the stench off of a losing franchise. Even bringing in hockey royalty didn't help. The fans aren't used to seeing good players in a Canucks jersey.

  10. I grew up in Edmonton and was living in Vancouver when Vancouver lost to NY in game 7. all I remember is how bad the Vancouver Canucks fans cried and cried like a nursery filled with Colicky babies. I was so ashamed of the Vancouver fans and this guy commenting in this video sounds exactly like them, I bet he doesn't even know how to skate. Vancouver is a Joke city for Hockey.

  11. It's wild how a human being can be a superior hockey player with superior numbers and championships and still be jealous of a lesser player. But Messier knew Linden was a classy human being and a strong leader so he needed to destroy Linden. And today Messier has built a shrine around himself that he's the best leader in sports history despite all the evidence that he's an arrogant bully. Who can blame him? It's better than looking at a big baby in the mirror right?

  12. That last segment, makes you a goat canucks channel.
I got to love people who look at both sides of the story. What's plainly obvious is not always true, and its important to look for those instances.

  13. Messier is literally the dumbest Hockey Player I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. Saying he has farmer mentality or simple ideas just makes Farmers look like idiots, and simpletons look like pet rocks. What a shame that he is considered an ambassador of the NHL, I can do better than Messier- my Grandson has pet turtles – maybe a good replacement?

  14. Linden did win two junior hockey championshipa so there's that. Mike was rude and foolish to challenge a popular guy in the locker room and city but he kinda had a point.

  15. After watching messiers elbow to the head compilation it has very much changed my view of himā€¦I was young during those times and missed all this as a kid

  16. There are numerous reasons why I have been a lifelong Flames fan despite having lived in Edmonton all my life. The Oilers of the Cup winning years were just arrogant and annoying, and I always wore my Flames jersey in Edmonton very proudly! šŸ‘šŸ˜

  17. I watched the Canadian Thanksgiving game on Prime with Montreal and Pittsburgh. And all they talked about was Pittsburgh I'll even tell you Pittsburgh was the road team. And every commercial was talking about the 1994 Stanley Cup win for Messier because Prime has this new show called game 7 or something.. Canadian Thanksgiving and all they're talking about is American crap it's not going to look good for the Canucks games to have to sit there and listen to Messier trash the Canucks
