Penguins embarrassed in back-to-back games in Western Canada

The Penguins were run out of the building in Edmonton and blew it in Vancouver in two unacceptable efforts.   5. This team crumbles with the slightest bit of adversity against good teams. The pens are not built to win defensively. The good teams have big, physical, puck moving dmen. The penguins have none of those. They can't move forwards out from the net front. That makes the goalies job soo much harder not seeing the shots. The season is still young but doesn't look good right now. At least the have 2 prospect dmen that fit the mold in pickering and brunicke.

  7. You can't spend all of your money on Forwards every year and let the Defense flounder . And look at their Defense . @ of their highest paid player are offensive Defensemen . Dump Letang . He is on the ice for almost every goal against . This team is falling down the basement stairs .

  11. For some reason, the media and fans want to give Karlsson a pass at every turn. The guy SUCKS defensively. Whether he’s healthy or not! PLEASE quit giving the guy a pass!

  14. I'm wondering if putting a "younger" guy like JP18 with Sid might help get him going. I think some of the regular guys are just all pressing so much with how poorly they are all playing. Sometimes putting a player who has some skill and would look to feed/defer to Sid more might help jump start him. I'd put PJ18 DOC with Sid and Rust and Rackell with Geno and see what happens. The overall defense is an absolute embarrassment and it really feels like the players have tuned HCMS out. You almost have to try to look as bad as they were on the Western Canada trip. If Sullivan isn't the coach you want to help usher in this rebuild/retool era then cut him loose now so you can get a head start for your next coach before other teams start firing their coaches

  16. I hope the Oilers game was as low as it gets for this team this year. But why is it every season for the past 3-4 years the low point is against the mother f'ing Oilers? I can't stand these guys. I think I might hate them more than several of our traditional "rivals" now.

  18. Yeah they are a bad hockey team and there's no easy fix, I'm starting to think that's just what it comes down to. Honestly I fear it's only going to get worse before it gets better. Might be in for a rough few seasons but I'm still gonna be along for the ride.

  20. Looking at the team's stats…their best defensemen are Ryan Graves, Jack St. Ivany, and Ryan Shea. Pettersson looks like a human pylon, Grzelcyk looks lost most of the time, and I think that Letang and Karlsson are getting far too much ice time, and are gassed by the third and OT.

  21. Head coach Mike SUCKagain aka Dan Bylsma 2.0 had Geno on left wing on 87's line at practice instead of Bunting. Looks like Bylsma 2.0 is going to try to get Geno off his game as well. I'm sick of hearing about Sully aka Mike Johnston part 2's system.
    Do you think Crosby's slow start is because he didn't sign his contract by July or August 8th? Or because the Pens traded his left wing Jake Guentzel for left wing Bunting AND REFUSE TO PLAY BUNTING WITH CROSBY? Bunting and Crosby's slow start could both be cured by putting them on the same line. Bunting–Crosby–Rust/Rakell. Bunting has played 9 games and has 1 assist/point. Last year Bunting: 21GP/6G/13A/19 points. Bunting played with top players in Toronto. Bunting had 63 points in 79 games with Toronto's top players. Head coach Mike SUCKagain aka Dan Bylsma 2.0 will NEVER PLAY BUNTING WITH CROSBY. PLEASE MAKE A BONA FIDE TOP LINE AND GET 87 AND BUNTING GOING.
