  1. As a Mets fan, it would have been close possibly game 7. Senga not himself, Manaea and Sevi were gassed and the Mets bullpen, except Diaz, was just not good enough. Cohen and Sterns know it and will attempt to fix it.

  2. I dont like this conversation, the Mets were better this year based on finish in regular season, but we didnt make the WS, but a Subway Series WA I think it would be Meta in 6 or 7

  3. Yes! The Mets beat them all year long. The competitive baseball we watched in the NLCS ended right there, Dodgers are gonna sweep them it’s not even close here.

  4. Good morning Ryan – I have to agree with that. The Mets seem like the better team in New York this year least giving the Dodgers a more interesting baseball challenge as the Yankees might actually be swept. It’s actually a bullpen game today so it’ll be interesting.

  5. Yankees were fundamentally a bad team. They got into the playoffs for 2 reasons, they had a tremendous first half and an AMERICAN LEAGUE with no competition. They are a one dimensional team and Cashman and Boone shud be let go. Judge is not a big time player like Soto is. Im sure Cole will opt out.

  6. The Mets faced tougher teams to get to the NLCS and the swept the Yankees in a to game series in June and again in July. The scores were 9-7, 3-2, 12-3,11-2. They had a better lineup than the Yankees.

  7. Ryan, you forgot to mention that during the regular season Mets and Yankees played four games. Of which Mets won all, and swept the Yankees this season. So you could say we were the better team.

  8. Fair question. Yankees are even worse competition against the Dodgers than the Mets were. So, by default, when measured by the level they were as competition against Los Angeles, the Mets are better.

  9. The Bronx bombers where a complete One hundred percent a joke 🤣🤣😂🤪🤣 i New 🆕🆕🆕🆕🆕 whoever out of the NL was going to win the ws we could have had one this year

  10. So… there were only 2 Yankee content creators online that were paying attention and expressed some slight worry about facing the Dodgers after seeing the Mets go down. That seemed to be Jimmy and Jake over at Jomboy. They were literally saying that the Yankees have not had to navigate a lineup like the Dodgers this post-season. Most other Yankee fans were way over confident and too busy making fun of the Mets losing in the NLCS that they didn't take what was coming seriously.
I think if the Mets' pitching held up, the NLCS goes to game 7, but it is a toss up as to who would win. Maybe the Mets because they did hit Bueller really hard, they just didn't have the results. If the Mets win and this is a subway series-world series rematch… assuming the Met pitching is still holding up, I don't see the Yanks fairing any better with how they are playing right now. Maybe Yanks win game 1 and don't blow that game, but… they aren't playing good baseball right now. Maybe there is a bit more fire with it being the cross town rival, but we saw that didn't help the Phillies… so… all we can do as Met fans is look on and watch. Somehow saying "I told you so" to Yankee fans doesn't even seem warranted at this point.

  11. Most of the talent in baseball was in the NL in 2024, very disproportionately in the NLW. The Yankee-apologists' claim that they are in the toughest division in MLB is preposterous. Baltimore was riddled with injuries to key players, especially the pitching staff. The Rays are in a nose-dive after years of getting rid of their best players so as not to pay them. The Red Sox haven't had a decent pitching staff in years and the offense never recovered from trading Betts for Verdugo. The Yanks blew through a bunch of weak teams to get to the playoffs and to the World Series. The Padres would have crushed the Yankees.

The key difference between the Yanks and Mets was the bullpen. The Yankee bullpen keeps them in games; the Met bullpen gives games away.

  12. Does it matter if we didn't win the championship?

    We're both losers…yay we're the better loser?!

Don't get me wrong I am grateful for ride we went on, but a podcasts episode dedicated to this gives massive little brother vibes and makes it seem like they live rent free in our heads.

Let's focus on our good foundation and how we can get better to beat LA.

    F the Yankees lol

  13. Rizzo is washed up. Volpe was over-hyped and can't lace Witt's shoes. Gleyber is a head case. LeMahieu is a zombie. Verdugo had a very sub-par year playing a position where there is normally a gorilla. Bab-Boone is one of the worst in-game managers I've ever seen. Now, as to Judge's horrific post-season, my belief is that this huge man gets worn out by playing center field and has nothing left after the regular season is over. He's good at center, but center isn't good for his body. Only a fool like Bab-Boone would play his best player in a spot that will wear him out. I would take him out of the outfield altogether and play him at first base, as the Phillies did with Bryce Harper.

  14. The Mets may bel better than the Yankees but that wouldn't necessarily translate to a WS victory as I'm sure the Yankees would take it up a notch versus the Mets. NYC bragging rights are a real thing!!

  15. Dodgers fan here. In the games vs the Mets I was much more worried. The Mets played inspired baseball and have players I knew could come through at any given moment. The series vs the Mets was much more unpredictable.

Honestly, I know the narrative was that the dodgers and Yankees were evenly matched but I knew the dodgers would sweep them or win in 5. The Yankees have so many holes in their game and the matchup was more lopsided than people wanted to acknowledge. Don’t get me wrong the Yankees have a pretty good team but it’s not a championship team. It’s quite clear that the dodgers play complete baseball. It’s quite clear that the dodgers play with an edge which the Yankees do not, at least not in this series. All the way from late in game 1 up until now, the Dodgers just look so unphased by the Yankees power. It’s such a different vibe from that series vs the Mets.

  16. that’s a resounding hell no …Yankees nowhere near Mets level …@ least Mets put up a fight & had clutch moments …Yankees waiting for regular season to start back up …so judge can continue hitting 100 homers …but Mets would’ve no doubt demolished Yankees in WS…Yankees should be counting their lucky stars to have gotten this far

  17. We all knew this the last Mets /Braves series at the end of the season. Especially after their postseason run if any team was to beat the Dodgers and a New York team was to win the WS it would be the Mets. Not to mention the Mets consistently have the Yankees' number….LGM
