2024真的是很不可思議的一年~一切宛如時光倒流~36年的輪迴~
I just know there are couple old heads watching this and quietly getting even more nervous about the day the "done with the 80s" movement comes to the baseball.
3-6 score 36 years ago rituals begin.
If Soler didn’t go absolutely Crazy in that WS in 2021 Freddie would’ve won the WS MVP.
Could he get it this time?
Are they similar situations, Yes. Are they directly comparable, No. Time will tell, but Gibson’s homer is way more significant.
SHE IS GONE!!!!! Gibson 1988: 6:43 Freeman 2024: 11:11
I was a year old when the first one happened in 88, growing up in LA my dad would always talk about it and how amazing it was. My dad and I both witnessed Freddies last week and I was glad I was able to experience that. Thank you October Baseball, you are special.
A one-handed home run!!! Simply dazzling!!!
Has there ever been a more epic battle of mustaches that Eckersley vs Gibson. Epitome of the 80’s
Gibson 6:40
Freeman 11:05
Freddie with more mustard on the hotdog, but both are great moments
I'm 79 years old and a lifelong Yankee fan, and the first game of the Series game was super even though the Bombers lost.
Now here is my but, the grand slam was exciting, yet if the hit was a just a single the Dodgers would have scored two runs, and would have won the game.
Many people are calling it a historical homer, myself I would label it a epic homer.
This is just my option, the two World Series homer that I consider historical were Bill Mazeroski's in 1960 against my Yanks and Joe Carter's in 1993 against the Phillies. Not only did their homers win the game, it also won the World Series.
One more item, the Series' advertisers must be grinning from ear to ear, having the Series being played in the two largest markets in the U.S.
Kirk Gibson was in much worse condition than Freddy Freeman.
world series man….freeman
Both coming off leg injuries too
What about the players who hit 3 home runs in 1 world series game, Sandoval, Pujols, Jackson and Babe Ruth who did it twice, so freeman & gibson are no big deal
someone pls tell Joe Davis that when the dodgers win the World Series to say “if you have a sombrero throw it in the sky” 🥺💙
sweet
Notice how both of their numbers are 5…. Gibsons #23 2+3 = #5 freddys #5 🤩🤩😲😲
My first World Series in person. WOW! What an amazing moment!
Freddie for President 2032!
Freddie for President 2032!
Freddie for President 2032!
This was so Awesome
Vin was the master, obviously. Unfortunately, what is forgotten is Don Drysdale's call on local L.A. radio. He left us way too early.
