Can the St. Louis Blues withstand the Robert Thomas injury?

After a whirlwind week of St. Louis Blues hockey, Clay Herrell hops back on the Blues Breakdown Podcast to discuss it all.

Jake Neighbours got a new contract and then everything went off the rails. Robert Thomas is out for six weeks, and yet, we saw a version of Jordan Kyrou that was very interesting as a result of a new pairing in Thomas’ absence.

The Blues had their first losing week of the season, but still found a noteworthy win over Craig Berube’s Toronto Maple Leafs.

A lot to get into!

  1. I’m still optimistic about the Blues. Outside of the Montreal game I thought they played good. I feel like they actually were the better team against the 0:28 Jets. That second goal that Binner gave up if I remember correctly was a weak goal and it really changed the game. The Montreal game brings back memories of last year as far as playing down to your opponent. Really would have been a big step to get that win and go to 6 and 3. But Montreal could be better this year. It’s early so it’s hard to know who teams really are. But overall two well played games this week. It is concerning to start out 0 ands 2 in the division though. Got to turn that around
