What happened to the #Seahawks home field advantage??

Sunday’s loss to the Bills was the second straight home game where Lumen Field was filled with an unusually high number of opposing fans, which Seahawks QB Geno Smith recognized in his postgame press conference:

“Their fans traveled well,” Smith said. “It was real loud in there, kind of felt like we were on the road at times.” Bump & Stacy dive into the issue and share how they believe the tide can turn for Hawks fans once again at the loudest stadium in the NFL.

  1. I’ve only had the privilege of going to a few pre-season games. I had a friend that gave the tickets to me for free because he couldn’t go.
Even then it cost me $60 in gas to come from Yakima, $50 for parking 12 blocks away and walking and $80 for snacks and drinks. 🙄
I couldn’t afford to go to a game during the season, but would love to.

  2. Showing up no matter what is why there is a Bills Mafia. We have our rituals and our craziness because our team was bad but we still went and cheered. Go Bills!

  3. Herman Edwards: YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!
Mike Singletary: WE ARE NOT A CHARITY, WE CANNOT GIVE THEM THE GAME!!

Is the Hawks gonna play like Jobbers for the rest of the season?? That's definitely not fundamental football.

  4. #1 the tix are WAY too expensive. #2 to economy sucks and the “common man/woman” can’t afford said tix. #3 the true “die-hard” fans who can’t afford the games get priced out for rich people that don’t GAF about the hawks. Congratulations, now being a true fan has been phased out for the elites.

  5. Prices are way too highhhh. You’re looking at 200-300$ for one person. If it was 100$ including food and drinks then it’d be fine. But that ain’t the case

  6. People buy season tickets, sell some of them, and they can cover the cost of all the games they actually want to watch. Also, the cost of tickets is INSANELY high.

  7. Let's forget about people moving into Washington, Oregon and British Columbia. Let's also forget about season ticket holders trying to sell the tickets. Those two things

happen everywhere. Let's also forget about two eras. Mike Holmgren's Super Bowl era and Pete Caroll's Super Bowl era. No matter what people will go to the games in those eras.

There are two things. And I have to compare this era with the dreadful 90's Seahawks. The first of all, tickets are very expensive now. People will generally can't afford the tickets.

People filled up the Kimdome constantly because tickets were not very expensive. The second of all, the 90's Seahawks were competitive and had stars in those teams.

There were always expectations that the team will win at the Kingdome. No matter how bad they are, the Seahawks were almost always competitive till the end of the game.

And people know they can see Cortez Kennedy, Shawn Springs, Joey Galloway, Warren Moon, Chad Brown, Michael Singlair. Those are some hall of fame or probowl types of players.

So people flocked to the Kingdome expecting to join the full of 12s rooting for the Seahawks with losing record constantly and it was not really expensive to go to the games.

So right now, it's expensive to attend the games and there are less motivations to root for the loosing teams rather people will watch the games on Big Screen TV.

The bottom line is this. The Seahawks need to start winning and especially against the good teams. People are not going to the game to see DK Metcalf or Devon Witherspoon.

If there's only one, it's Kenneth Walker. I don't buy demographics reasons. When Brett Favre and Green Bay Packers were in town, there were 50% of cheese head in the Kingdome.

And don't think that the fans are not hard core fans. They spend near much energy in front of TV and some other methods to root for the current teams. There are no fare weather fans.

They either 12th or regular people who don't watch football. That's the bottom line.
