Cincinnati Bengals have had enough—they want to see rookie Jermaine Burton get more playing time in Joe Burrow’s offense.
This came to a head in the aftermath of the team’s blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8. There, Tee Higgins was down with a new injury and non-Ja’Marr Chase names like Andrei Iosivas weren’t effective at all.
Burton has been hyped beyond normal status for a mid-round rookie because of the perception red flags dragged down his otherwise first-round upside. He had problems upon arrival with the Bengals that have since cleared up, it seems.

Let’s look at it from this perspective:
People assume Tee is gone this offseason.
People assume his replacement is Burton.
Burton is getting bare minimum playing time.
Burton may be WR2 next year with little to no reps heading into that role.

Agree about Iosivas.The guy cannot run a decent route.60 minutes of cardio is about right!
Bengals need 1 defensive backs 2 offensive lineman 3 linebackers 4 running backs 5 defensive line 6 probably need Burton to replace Higgons next year. truth is this team has lost more talent than it has added every single year since they went to super bowl, Besides Burrow, Chase and maybe Hendricks and Higgons, they might be least talented team in NFL.
Id give my left nut for the Bengals to go all in and make some major trades for bosa and some other giid players to make the team better and make the playoffs
Burton not seeing the field like he should should be enough to send zac to jail. You have to do whatever you need to do to make sure he’s playing. Every ball caught by him has been huge. Jesus man this organization drives me crazy
Wide receivers are not getting open and Burrows still gets sacked a lot when the blitz on 3rd down.
I dont know why fans cant pay attention to him in the game. He runs wrong routes. He hasnt mastered the playbook. Hello?????
The bengals are cheap. We had hoped things were changing but ultimately they have not.
Even if he gets on the field, he's at the mercy of ZT's completely inept coaching

I hate to say it, but trade Tee for draft capital or trench players. Other players to shop.: Gesicki, Ossai, Stone etc… Whoever is not going to be here next year should be on the trading block.

If the kid can’t run a good route , why hasn’t someone took some one on one time with him until he learns the routes.
Maybe trade Tee for a halfback who could run. Which we wouldn’t be in this mess if they didn’t let Mixon go.
Nobody is ever mentioning how awful Cappa has been on the OL. He's a liability, like Colson.
Burton lined up in the wrong spot 3 times and ran the wrong route twice. That’s why he’s not playing. I don’t like our staff but Burton is not playing because of him.
We will never be anybody until we run the damn ball look at the teams in the NFL that run the ball they have good records there you have it you can't always throw the ball you have to be committed to the run

No brainer. Put him out there as the primary #3. Its 6 weeks too slow. Iosy Irwin Jones are NOT #3s. Heck theyve been used as 2s at times with no tee. 1000% agree. All iosy adds is red zone reps
Good show guys. Two MAJOR things cant stomach about Zacs offense. 1) that was on me i need to put us in better position…2) our offense takes what the defense gives us…Both themes are repeated constantly and neither is tolerable. Try to imagine Bill Bellichick saying THATS ON ME FOR NOT PUTTING US IN RIGHT CALL…or…Andy Reid saying WE TAKE WHAT DEFENSE "GIVES" US
Iosivas and Irwin are wr4’s, team doesn’t have a wr3. Could be Burton but how can we know? Iosivas has no ability to seperate. This team needs an inside disruptor, been missing since Larry O. There is one starting cb on this roster and they are a low end cb2. I think the guards are below average.
What’s sad is the run game wasn’t that bad last yr when browning was at qb and they ran a different offense
