4. I honestly did not expect both Manaea and Sevy would work out this well when we signed them. Whoever Sterns is going after, I will trust.

6. We need a number 1 starter . Corbin Burnes fits the bill . Juan Soto a no brainer . I have no problems with manea coming back and Alonso as well

7. Eh nah, Yankees got to the World Series, dodgers got to the World Series and will win it. Mets would have to pay more than both of them and also convince him that they’ll win. If he wants the money and the ring, he already has two top contenders in the dodgers and Yankees.

It's two fold u take a valuable piece from a competitior that weakens them and strengthens the Mets, Atlanta won't turn and sign Burnes, he will be out of their budget. But you also get a Dawg that can shut down an opposing batters lineup. I would then get burnes and BP help. Hitters Bregman and Soto and your ready to rock

The Mets need to get Pete signed immediately which I believe along with money will get Soto very excited being in a stacked lineup and it would be deeper all the way to batter 9 compared to the Yankees maybe four deep. We can't take too long with Juan also because we don't want to lose out on some other stars that might sign elsewhere while we're waiting for Soto.

15. Honestly other FAs i would look at even as a Contingency plan, Christian Walker incase Pete really does leave, Max Fried would be a get too. I want to think Willy Adames may be a great pick up too. Convert him to second. I also wonder if Roki Sasaki comes out too. He would be high on my list too.

20. I don’t see Pete as an early signing. Boras is going to have to gauge the market first because the Mets will not overspend for him. In fact, Walker is a big problem for Pete because his output was similar to Pete’s when you account for ballpark differential with a clearly superior glove. Anyone saying Max Fried is an option needs to understand that he’s going back home to the West Coast. Dude will be a Dodger or Padre.

21. I doubt that the Mets will be getting Corbin burnes ok because Baltimore just got him from the brewers and they will offer him a multi year deal . The Mets will have to top that Baltimore deal to have a chance to sign him

23. Hopin for Adames or Bregman to play 3rd, moving Marky V to 1st. Or leave his subpar D at the 3rd, and sign Christian Walker for 2 yrs. Time to break up the core.

24. No to Corbin Burnes. I think he’s one start away from TJ Surgery. Yes he’s really good but his underlying numbers are going the wrong way. I also don’t see how Burnes doesn’t get at least 6 years for his next contract.

25. I hope Stearns/Cohen set a soft deadline to Boras in regard to signing some of his big free agents. Can’t wait on one or two players while othe4 teams are making moves and we’re left with nothing

30. Also the Soto deal feels like the Dodgers with Ohtani. This is a guy Cohen has had his eye on for a while. If we don’t get Soto, I doubt it will be because Cohen was outbid
