24. This was such a great interview. I didn't understand a lot of the formation details, but I am very impressed with Justin. Spags would be a head coach anywhere he wanted, but he is a genius with the room Coach Reid gives him. Such a good interchange between the two of you, both Stanford men. Wish your Alma Mater could regain its swagger again.

34. Feel for the game. Football knowledge and muscle memory. I wonder what kind of intelligence testing they do in their scouting, especially in that young secondary that came along so quickly in 2022, and one or two vets, like Reid, who just plugged in and played. Very good mind. Reid was new to the team, but not new to the league.

36. As good as Mahomes is, I think he's also blessed to be playing for a top organization, thanks to Clark Hunt. I think Lamar always meant well, but he was content to have his old buddy and fast friend, Carl, run the organization and put together mostly winning seasons and early playoff exits. Clark just wanted to win and didn't want to meddle. But he had to go through 2 GMs after King Carl to arrive at Brett Veach. Veach, a longtime Reid protege, seems to have a great working relationship with the coaches. They tell him what they want, and his crew has book on everybody.
