  1. Petey was fine. There were so many worse players. Nothing is working. Its weird when not a single d pairing or offensive line is working than blame one person for it. Can someone explain it to me

  2. Guys this is officially a coaching problem. Mixing up the lines, pushing a play style. Take some accountability. For once this isnā€™t just Petey. Also gosh damn Garland gives it 110% every game

  4. Paralysis by overanalysis. Too structured of a game from a man with probably a 104 iq equates to a linear style where we all play like pluggers and grinders. Patterson has zero confidence, or intent to his play, there was a moment in the second period when he forechecked and could've hit the defenseman easy, but he let up and ran into the boards instead like a low testosterone wet noodle. Sad shit. As well Silovs honeymoon is over. He needs a lot of seasoning and has many technical flaws to his game.

  5. Felt bad for Silovs, he wasnā€™t good but the whole team left him out to dry. The effort was non existent and the turnovers were just brutal to the point where it was embarrassing. With that being said, healthy scratch Bains and put Hoglander back on the top line.

    Tocchet's systems does not seem to fit those that need a longer leash. Kuzmenko, Lindholm, EP40.

  11. Way too much passing. And weak passes also that are getting picked off and turned back the other way. That miller gaffe was like 2022 JT. We are definately struggling at the moment.

  12. 1) Petey shoot the puck ffs every player in the league knows you pass 90% of the time. 2) JT stop the high risk low reward cross ice passes in the offensive zone. They always get intercepted. 3) We need more players than Garland and Sherwood to try hard every game.

  13. I hate the drop pass on the power play is such a dumb way to enter the offensive zone. they do three drop passes. for the whole opposing team to stand them up on the blue line. they need joshua back asap

  16. I honestly think with Pettey not performing and the clash with Miller is creating Cancer in the Locker room … Time to move him before his NTC kicks in .

    Hughes is playing way too many minutes

    How are we suppose to build Chemistry with constant line juggling

    De Brusk has had more then enough time to adjust .

    Stop the stretch passes and start shooting

    the PP needs to change its not working

    Trade Vinny and a pick or two and Get Rasmuson .

  21. One thing I'm hating is the powerplay. I didnt count but there were MULTIPLE time where Hughes would get past the defender then turn back and drop it to someone behind him. We do this every powerplay, which just clogs up the blue line so then its damn near impossible to even enter and get odd man rushes. Were like 0/10 on the powerplay recently and this is why. And the drop passes in the zone are killing us giving the other team short handed breakaways and even goals

  23. this is not surprising — they're paying almost 12 mill to a guy that simply doesn't care and doesn't try. the other players see that and lose a lot of respect for him and the organization backing him. they have to figure out #40 or get rid of him —- he's an utter cancer to this team right now. trust me, the Miller/Pettersson issue is probably the tip of the ice berg.

  31. Everyone just seems to forget their role. All of them look lost out there. Team mantra last year was ā€œdefence firstā€ and goals will come along. Now everyone just trying to become a hero and wants to score desperately putting other players out of position. Patience guys.

  33. I'm with the comments Petty needs to go!!!! Signing him for 11.6 so he can float around. The guy is an untitled baby Miller 8 m petty 11.6 that is a bad joke They should put him on waivers & send him down to abby if someone picks him off waivers we should be happy

  40. If Tockett continue letting Myers play on defence, this team will not get any better. He is not even a 5/6th D. It is Crazy to resign Myers for three more years contract. He is a pylon. Canucks does miss Zadorov and Cole.

  42. Tochet is a good coach in some regards but he needs to adopt Boudreau's approach when dealing with players like Petey. Some players are the more sensitive type and respond better to positive reinforcement just like an actual workplace. Some players like the kick in the butt. Some don't. It is the coach's job to respond appropriately to each player's individual personality types. Tochet is so stubbourn in so many ways and that just does not gel with Petey.
