  1. This team has serious issues…once again the Canucks are letting everyone down….are Canucks fans surprised?? we've been watching this train wreck organization for 50+ years (at least I have) and it is so obvious how far we are from a Stanley Cup winning team.
let's start with trading away our abysmal bottom 4 Dmen….am I the only one who holds their breath when either of these 4 have possession of the puck?? (Myers, Desharnias, Forbort, Soucy, Joulsen…take your pick)
just count how many times the puck goes from Myers stick to the opponents…IT'S ALARMING & PATHETIC

  2. The coaching staff is telling the defence to get up close to the other teams forwards, the big guy from Edmonton said it in an interview. Coaching problem. Back off and take the puck carrier to the boards.

  3. my whole section on opposite side of rink with clear view of the lane were yelling SHOOOOOOOOT at Petey on that chance at end of 1st lol

  4. That was definitely one of the worst Canucks games of the last few years. They played like a bunch of guys who just came from the golf course and were putting in time because they had to. Myers wasn't the only one who sucked, just about all of them did except for Silovs who was left on his own. If this keeps up, people are going to start demanding a new coach because obviously Tochett isn't able to get these guys to focus and play hard right from the start of every game.

  5. To be fair, in regards to Myers not making that hit, he was jumping in to get the puck and realized late that he was going to get beaten to it. If he changes his mind at the last moment and goes in for a hit on a fast moving player, that is how dangerous hits and injuries happen. His mistake was the poor decision to make that pinch.

  6. Petterson, Petterson, Petterson —- every game the conversation revolves around him. Here's a guy making $3.5 million more than Miller, Hughes, and Hronek, and almost twice as much as Boeser — yet whose stats on the NHL League Leaders List are so bad he's now down around #300. Meanwhile Miller, Boeser and Hughes are up in the Top 100 which is also where Petterson should be. If anyone thinks Petterson is now going to claw his way all the back up from #300 to be in the Top 20 this season — forget it. It ain't going to happen.

  7. I've said silovs was not a NHL goalie from the start. He does not give you a chance to win in net, Vancouver media claimed he was so good in the playoffs which he never was. he didn't even put up a 900 save percentage in the playoffs and gives up an average of 5 goals a game. Just want to point out again I've said it all along!! silvos is nowhere near NHL caliber!!

  8. I have said this repeatedly that Petey's problem is between his ears… a confident shooter would have ripped a slap shot right the moment the puck arrives, but he double-clutched and hung a weak wrister at the goal… he needs a sports psychologist to sort out whatever that is preventing him from playing close to his potential.

I don't know if Silovs can be sent down to the minors, but he needs serious tweak to his game as well. The league appears to have figured him out like they did to Spencer Martin a couple years ago. Until he works to overcome that deficit, he is going to be lit up every time he stands between the pipes against NHL-caliber shooters.

  9. tocc has said i don't how many times he has to get his feet moving but he just won't do it anymore. he had a clear path to the net and he just stood there 25' away, let markstrom square up to him before he took his shot.

  10. I was there last night. Hoglander was pretty good in a limited role, Miller and Boeser were okay, Hughes was good as always, and everyone else sucked… forwards don't check on this team and don't press the D. They stack the box, let the other team pass wherever they want, and screen their own goalie so he can't see… Silovs was bad but a lot of it is because of the team

  11. It's just unreal that tocchet doesn't call a timeout when they scored a short-handed goal it will help stop the momentum of the devils Jesus and why put silvos in that is a high scoring team and especially haven't played in five games that is absurd I am starting to lose faith in the coaching department at least Boudreau called time outs and he did get more out of petterson as well………people give petterson till Xmas if no approvement and the Canucks under 500 its either coaching staff or petterson one has to go …..just sucks being a true fan for so many years
