He’s back! Victor Wembanyama shines in San Antonio Spurs’ win over Utah Jazz

Victor Wembanyama dazzles with a five-by-five stat line, showcasing his potential as the San Antonio Spurs secure a victory against the Utah Jazz. Chris Paul finds his rhythm within the Spurs’ offense, contributing significantly alongside Keldon Johnson and Jeremy Sochan. Coach Gregg Popovich’s strategic adjustments following a tough loss to OKC appear to have paid off, as the team demonstrates improved cohesion and performance. Jeremy Sochan’s remarkable progress this season positions him as a contender for Most Improved Player and a potential All-Defensive team spot.

Discover how these developments could shape the Spurs’ season and what lies ahead for Wembanyama and his teammates with host Jeff Garcia and guest AP Sports Writer Raul Dominguez.

  1. Wemby had a good game. But he refuses to get in the paint where he is most edfective. He might as well be 6 ft tall if he’s going to hang around the 3 point line and take fadeaways when near the paint. He completely negates his dominant height. Is that Pop or Wemby?

Question 2. Every time Zach Collins defends the high pick and roll he jumps the switch leaving him out by half court while the big has a mismatch on the roll. Surely Pop sees that.

  2. Not the best game of Wemby but thanks to the Jazz's weaknesses, he managed to log his second 5×5 of his young career. This is why he is so special. Not at his best but still dominant !
He still feels very tired, without energy. He doesn't drive to the rim at all.

But please put Mamu in the lineups (+10 against Dallas, +6 against OKC and +3 yesterday when some of his teammates of the second unit are -21 for Collins, -14 for Wesley and -13 for Branham). He shouldn't sit on the bench all the game…
