  1. We love Ronnie he was obv 2-3 cocktails deep… Soto is a MUST get w how good the Dodgers are now with Ohtani, Betts, Freeman etc etc this team must land Soto to pair with Lindor! The only way the offseason isn’t a disappointment without landing him is if Stevie offers him like $50mil more then the next team and he still shuns us then screw him but I’m pretty confident this gets done BECAUSE Uncle is going to blow him away!

  2. I value Ron Darling's opinion. I don't care what Zack Scott says. In the end, I want the Mets to get Soto and re-sign Alonso. A top of the lineup of Lindor-Nimmo-Soto-Vientos-Alonso (whichever order is fine) would be awesome.

  3. I think they're going to get solo but I really don't want him he's not even that good he's not worth what they want to pay him he's a terrible outfielder he's a great hitter but he can't play The Outfield at all and it's way too much money and too many years we could send so many other players instead of him

  4. I both agree and disagree with Darling. He’s right that you can get 3 guys for that price. But players like Soto don’t grow on trees. And he’s still a child. If you have an opportunity to lock a guy up like him, and you can do it… you do it!

  5. Ron Darling has a point but I believe the mets core does not interfere with Left field if they got Soto,, My worry is if they pay him over 700 million how are they going to get pitching to compete.

  6. As the smoke clears with the Soto situation. If signed by the Mets, will he play Rightfield. As you know, his defense is average at best and he does not have a big arm either. Shortly, he is a offensive one trick pony. Something too think about before emotionally plunging into this signing.

  7. Ron and Zack know ball but Ron’s comments are a bit shortsighted imo. Could Stearns build a championship team without Soto? Sure. Does signing Soto make it that much easier? Absolutely
