  6. I'm wondering if Soto is going to be another holdout before spring training even starts. Thinking how Montgomery had to fire Boras because of his shit work finding him home. Snell not getting a long term deal even though he's a 2X Cy Young winner. Of course pitchers are different but the league seems to be sick of Scott's tactics.

Othani and judge was 30+ Juan Soto just turned 26 that’s 4+ years of youth that’s on his side and with othani you always gotta take his health into account especially when it comes to pitching and Judge disappears in the post season. Let Pete walk sign Soto add some pitching and hopefully Vientos can be even better with a full year and Alvarez can get back to hitting 25+ HR

  10. This off-season program is terrific for those who miss baseball, but the Hot Stove is heating up. Our front office MUST be in on who might be the best free agent in history besides Shohei last winter. He should be priority ONE on the free agent shopping list. Concerning Shohei, he will be able to pitch next season and after helping The Bums to a championship as half a player, his value will increase. If Ohtani is proving to be a modern-day Babe Ruth, then Soto is the 21st-century equivalent of Ted Williams. A talent of this magnitude rarely becomes available at his age, and we should certainly do whatever it takes to get him to relocate to Flushing. In a prized free agent class Soto should be priority one. For a change, our ballclub has the resources to make this a reality.

  13. Whichever team signs Soto, they'll be massively overpaying, and it won't help them as it will affect their ability to sign other really good players. Plus, they'll be signing him to a what 14 year deal, which is ridiculous as contracts that long will be a disaster.

  16. I like soto,. But I like pitching more. Burns Fried and Manna, resign Winker and Iglesias, pick up a righty DH and add to the bullpen. Trade McNeill and Let some of the rookies come up and play. Soto is a great player but I remember when Arod was a free agent and the GM for the Mets turned the other way because quite it's not about One player you need 25 just as we seen with the Mets this year. This will be a great off-season either way. Let's go Mets 👏⚾🏟️❤️

  18. Cohen is the richest owner & it’s not even close. Cohen is the only one who can sign him and never feel it financially. If we don’t sign him then you minus well bring back the Wilpons.

  22. Why does the Mets have to get creative. They have 6x more money than any other team in the sport and tons of money coming off the books. Offer Soto 100 million more than his best offer & Soto will come. If Cohen wants Soto then Soto will be a Met. If Cohen is passive like be was with the Japanese pitcher last winter or like he was with Otani or judge or Bauer well then Cohen is going to let his fan base down again. Outside of Lindor, Steve Cohen has not flexed his financial muscle once as Mets owner. He almost did with Correra but then backed away. All he’s done is mainly sign veteran pitchers to short term deals for big annual deals so it looks like he spent a lot but then got out from under these deals anyway. I kinda feel that Cohen owes the Met fan the way he talks about his responsibilities in making the Mets the best team he can. It’s been really just Lindor at the beginning of his ownership & that’s been it. I wanted Realmuto & we got McCann to save money which was a bad sign off the jump I felt during the first month of his ownership. Cohen knows what he needs to do but something tells me he’s going to only match the highest offer which will make him look aggressive but everyone knows we need to over pay for Soto to get a deal done. Cohen wants to be the team in NY well the chance will never be right there like this is. As for the Mets they need to improve there line up. They can’t go into next season with the same line up. At what point do they address the freakin line up. Just signing Alonso off a dramatic HR is not going to improve the team & we’ll be once again looking to make a big trade at the dead line next season to have a chance. We have to close the gap with the dodgers and Soto does that. If we do not sign Soto I’m done with there cohen hype train and all that uncle Steve crap. Just tell boras we will give him 100 million more than the highest offer & that is that. Then you sign the pitching. We shouldn’t have to spend either or, we are in position for what ever we need. Cohen is worth 22 Billion, the Dodgers 6 Billion & the Yankees 1,6 Billion. If Cohen comes up short with this player it might be time to issue the Wilpons an apology because they did what they could for us and cohen has yet to do that. This is the chance to take over NY & Make the Yankees fan base and everyone connected to the Yankees to cry. I want that desperately.

  25. Fried is gonna be hard to keep away from LA. He grew up there a big time Dodgers fan and wants to be on the West Coast and is very close friends with Freeman. Unless the Dodgers decide they rather trade the farm for Crochet I just don’t see that one happening. Not every player is all about getting maximum dollar
