You wouldn't lose the full month of getting the receiver up to speed. And it allows Jennings to move out to X and you play Bourne as the 3rd down guy.

7. Lynch knows safeties. Well, what is his excuse for dragging his feet on filling that free safety slot? It seems like he sort of half-assed pursued them in the offseason when several were available, and then hoped one of the young guys would take to that position with the end result ultimately being that they still need one…as well as defensive end.
