  1. If the 49ers are just looking for rotational depth, they shouldn't even do it unless it's for a 7th-round pick. Just save your draft capital. A depth piece isn't helping this team get to where they want. If the 49ers don't get a difference maker, just stand pat and get your depth through the draft.

  2. I wish David would clarify further why he thinks Davon Godchaux would be a significant improvement for our D-line. His PFF scores are low – below average at both pass rush and run stopping success; on the Defense Interior Run Defense and Pass Rush PFF Grades chart he's in the lower left quadrant. With the league average PFF scores at about 56 and 63 for run defense and pass rush, respectively, Godchaux's scores are 48.5 and 61.5, respectively. Simmons has high PFF scores, but as David said, it's unlikely that the Titans will trade him. However, there's someone at even higher PFF scores, also in that top right quadrant who might become available: Calais Campbell, with run stopping and pass rushing grades of 79 and 78 (outstanding at both – even higher than Simmon's grades). Campbell is on the Dolphins, who (after Sunday's anticipated loss to the Bills) will be 2-6 and lean towards a rebuilding mode. They might be willing to release the 38 year old veteran for some fresh blood – a rookie trade. The ol' codger is still playing great, and due to his age might be an inexpensive pickup since it's doubtful anyone will sign him to a long contract. He'd be an outstanding single-year contract pickup. He'd probably love to come to a SB-bound team. And he'd make a HUGE impact on both the pass rush and against the run. I wish David would've discussed Calais Campbell.

  3. Titans reporters have stated Simmons is and can be tradeable. Ive posted this on your X account. A 2nd round pick should do it and it's worth it. Josh uche went for a 5th and hes solid. Simmons is a game changer and affordable. We could get Simmons if they really try. When there's smoke there's usually (not always but usually Fire).
