  2. You can make the Superbowl with a top 10 offense but your defense better be able to rush the passer and your defense not be absolutely terrible. The defense can be average if it reaches its potential but only if we can get healthy and get some pass rush help because this defense concerns me right now with all the injuries.

  8. Packers shopping Preston Smith, not someone I’d want but he’s available. Honestly rn I’d take Walker or Hendrickson and if those 2 aren’t available Smith and Landry

  11. I would say if they get anyone we should also wait to see what that person does, different management could turn a great player into nothing or a nothing player into one of the best.

  19. Smith seems the most realistic option at this point. I would love Hendrickson (Maxx and Myles too but I assume those are non-starters for trades) but I think that the Bengals see themselves as buyers even if they lose tomorrow. If they just trade for Jeffrey Simmons or something they can get things rolling again once Burrow gets hot. While it makes sense for a cheap team like the Bengals to trade someone they'll have to pay, I don't think they will, leaving Smith as the ideal option. The Lions want an edge rusher that can set the edge against the run, something we saw hurt us the last two weeks. I wouldn't be upset with Key as a second addition on top of Smith or Hendrickson, but not as the primary move. If Travon is being traded then he might be a bust, and White from NE went the pick after Branch, so if they're moving on from him already something is also wrong.

    As for Azeez, I wouldn't be surprised if teams are waiting to call the Giants's bluff as you get to an hour before the deadline and no one is blowing you away, are you really willing to let him walk next year and get nothing for him when someone calls up and offers a 6th for him?

  25. I’m thinking Brad goes after Smith. He checks off the boxes of a player Brad likes. He’s over 30 ✅. He’s not a big hit to the budget ✅. He’s coming off a injury ❌. Well as Meatloaf once sang…2 out of 3 ain’t bad. 😉

  27. You know teams are asking outrageous sums of picks to trade to the Lions, knowing we are semi-desperate for an edge and are pushing for a SB.

  29. Could have gotten a Crosby or Garrett for not much more than we're gonna get an old Smith, if we even get him now. Two things can be true… Brad Holmes is a stud but also doesn't seem to know how to properly operate as a top super bowl favorite type of franchise.
