  1. Wait, they won? No shot lol after that awful short handed goal, which cost them the playoffs last year (remember they gave up 3 goals short handed to san jose in 2 minutes when up 4-0 and then lost like 6-5 in OT, missed playoffs by a point sooooooooooo…..) My dad and I turned it off and said fuck this team sucks. EDIT: After actually watching, jesus. Both teams were choking all game. 2 below average teams putting a shitfest on.

  2. Good win, that must stay the top line as it calms the whole lineup, but the 5v5 offense remains just non-existent. Dylan Larkin has 7 goals in 11 games – but only 2 5v5 points in 11 games, one goal and one assist, and 0 5v5 points in the last 8 games. Raymond has 0 5v5 goals. Kane has 1 5v5 goal. Raymond, Kane, Cat, Larkin are barely getting any shots on goal, either, esp at 5v5.

Derek Lalonde broke this team in training camp w whatever he coached them to do or not do.

  3. It's easy to see that the Red Wings defense isn't great. It's easy to see our bottom 6 aren't the best supporting cast for our top 6.

What's not super apparent if you're a casual fan of hockey is that Lalonde's system is not a good fit for our players. So much of what makes the Red Wings boring and frustrating a lot of games is dump and chase hockey. It's the worst style of hockey, the most boring style of hockey, and it absolutely wastes the skill set of our best players.

Derek Lalonde and his staff have been a good bridge between the dumpster fire of Yzerman's first couple years, but it's time to find a coach who can maximize this team's capabilities.

Look how apathetic and down trodden the team looks even in a win… yeesh.

  4. Not enough people talking about what a puck hound Marco Kasper has turned into. Not only does he forecheck and backcheck well. he's very responsible when he has the puck on his stick especially when he's in the D zone. Going to be really exciting when he starts to get the offensive production to come around.

  5. am i high but i think its because we havent seen an octopus on the ice. have we? i dont recall this year seeing one. maybe its me. if we stop with the Goff chants and focus on the actual team, maybe we have a shot.

  6. I havent been happy with Tarasenko this season so far. He looks like the most disinterested player on the ice. Barely moving his feet, bozo level "play making". Doing the bare minimum collecting a check. I know he's getting up there but still.

  7. Whatever happened to the highflying Wings offense of last year? The defense was still terrible but at least they were exciting to watch…this team looks outclassed every game at 5v5 with only goal tending and some timely special teams play bailing them out. Something has to change and fast

  8. That's what a good team does. Take a one goal lead into the third and hold it. Not saying we are good. Just saying that's what good teams do and we need to do it more often

  9. Glad to see DBC is producing as advertised. Maybe we wont see a 40+ goal season out of him (though we should) but if he can continue his pt per game, hes fitting as advertised

  10. A very poor win! Continue to play like this. The Wings will not make the playoffs.
You're supposed to beat lesser teams. You're suppose to score pp goals. But squeak by with a one goal win. It's disappointing to see this much talent flop night after night.
The Wings have problems and they seem to be satisfied with a lackluster win. You have an amateur coach, and this team are playing like it. "Fix it or stay home!"
