Rams-Seahawks Reaction: Geno Smith throws 3 INTs, Seattle last in NFC West | Richard Sherman NFL

Richard Sherman reacts to the Seattle Seahawks losing in overtime to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 9 of the 2024 NFL season. The Seattle offensive line got dominated once again, allowing Geno Smith to get sacked seven times in another frustrating loss for the Seahawks who now hold a 4-5 record at the bottom of the NFC West. Will they be able to rebound, or will they spend the rest of the season looking up in the standings at the San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals, and Matthew Stafford’s Rams?

  1. And he didnt pish off. Woolen was holding tf out his arm lol. Go ahead sherm and defend your old teamπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ whoooooooooose hoooooooouuuuse!!!!

  2. Hawks just don't have that little extra inside each player like what they had when Sherm played. Most of these current Seahawks are collecting big paychecks nothing more

  3. Yes. This is true. But let's focus on the 3 great TD's he threw to Tyler and Jax and the many completed passes. He fought through those errors, and I am so proud of him!β˜ΊοΈπŸŽ‰ We will definitely work on the interceptions.πŸ‘ŒπŸ’― It's going to be okay. The o-line and d-line played very well.πŸ‘€

Hey. They went to overtime this time. Somebody had to win, Richard.πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ₯°

    Geno is a WONDERFUL QB1!πŸ«ΆπŸ’™πŸ’šπŸ₯°πŸŽ‰πŸ‘‘

  4. Why is Geno still playing? The big complaint against Howell was his TOs. Well, Howell is a year younger than Nix, and Geno is on pace to match his TOs from a year ago. Why not go with the young QB who has potential vs. the career backup who's mentally lost? Geno is not him. He never was. He's a liability at this point.

  5. This is what’s really irritating what do you guys expect. Geno at quarterback bottom ranked offensive line and a brand new coaching staff. The days of always compete are dead when your team is bad you want a good pick so you can get better. We as fans need to stop making it seem like this team is ready for a Super Bowl every year.

  6. Richard, can you please be a Seahawk coach. You know what it take. Ty for Seattle's ring. I know sitting in a warm office is cozy but your rough and tough and smart. I'm just being honest. So take those cozy loafers off and be our coach. We luv you. πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’š

  7. With going for it, at that point I was like, "Whatever." I'm pretty much unenthused about Seattle at this point. When they didn't get it I was like, "Eh, shocker." Seattle is no longer an exciting team, and hasn't been since Russell Prime days, Lynch, and the LOB. Especially the call… just two straight runs jamming it up the middle… lol.

And has Grubb forgotten that playaction still exists? You come out running the ball, then just right back to shotgun passes..

  8. At the end of the day, the Seahawks were never good. They played a bunch of nobody’s. The Rams were the second team that they played that was actually good and has talent. This is everyone else’s fault for crowning the Seahawks as a playoff contending team with the new rookie head coach

  9. Great commentary, by a legend in the game. Quick comment – Stafford was indeed hit a lot & dodging incoming defenders, but the difference is that he's able to beat rushes using his hot read options. McVay already knows our O-line – down 3 starters – needs help, so he designs these for Matt. Maybe Geno isn't seeing his hot reads, surely your coaches prepared for Verse / Fiske / Young to get lots of penetration? our (yes Rams fan here) ILB corps is suss, that TE slant across the middle should've been open all day for you all.

  10. I don't totally blame Geno. I think if we had another QB playing that was the best out there with the Offense line as it is now we would still have a ton of trouble. Geno is not getting protection.
I agree with you that on the overtime 4th down that they should go for it but it was the type of play they did was stupid. If they tried a short pass to just about anyone, WR, RB, and maybe even try a screen pass we could have gotten that one yard. The Offense just isn't good enough to open holes for the RB. Why they ran this kind of play is beyond me. It was doomed to fail. And the sad part is the play callers should by now KNOW it wouldn't work.

  11. The Seahawks did not play well enough to win. The Seahawks were not coached well enough to win. The Seahawks have not been staffed well enough to win.

  12. The talent seems to be there for the most part. The D might need one more dog on the line, generally the D Line struggles to get consistent pressure. When they were able to get LA qb off his launch point in the pocket the D was able to make it hard on Rams offense. Need better consistent coverage of run lanes, though Rams didn't run over Seattle like most teams, still it needs to be better. All that being said, a better OL and Geno may not of had his 2nd and 3rd INT's. Although, Geno and Grubb need to devise better levels of pass patterns in particular a short outlet so Geno can get rid of ball better. I noticed Rams had that for their qb, Hawks would start to get pressure and Ram qb got it to a guy wide open that would be nearby. 7 sacks speaks volumes of the ineffectiveness of Hawks OL. Not sure I've seen worse OG's. The Center is somewhat forgivable given he hasn't had the benefit of being on team long enough and may have come back too soon from major injury. Teams 4 th string RT, need I say more than 4 th string and a raw rookie that would normally be a project on practice squad, though should be valuable experience for the young RT for his future. LT missed most of last season, so jury is still out on him but has shown enough promise. LG, here is an older – long in the tooth player who was pretty good 2 seasons ago, but nit last season. It was a stretch that he would suddenly be like he was 2 seasons ago given how long in the tooth of a player he is. OL has been Seahawks GM's failure since he's been here, team might want to consider other options as to who selects OL players for Seahawks. OL is the main problem I see with this team besides D might need a little seasoning with new coach as it is a new D philosophy/scheme. OL has run out of excuses for the OG's, at some point a change needs to be made there as neither OG is consistently good enough for this offense to reach the elite status that is possible.

  13. You cannot buy heart in athletes. And not a lot of the current Seahawks have a lot of heart like the players Sherm and his gang of players with him when they played

  14. lol, not taking the points was 100% the right move lol. like what is that take?? so you go up three and the rams start their drive on the 30 instead of the 15 yard line and they score a td to win either way …
