SHOULD THE BROWNS CLEAN HOUSE? – The Daily Grossi

The Browns lost again on Sunday and it now appears that their season is no longer salvageable. With that in mind, our own Tony Grossi has all the scoops on where this team goes next, what changes we might see, and if Kevin Stefanski and Andrew Berry are safe.

  4. There is only one thing that needs to occur. Everytime we rebuild and get to the precipice of greatness, the Owner desires some stupid splash acquisition that throws the team into the Land of media hype. Manzel, OBJ, DW4. Remove those three guys over the past two decades and it looks a lot different and all that money could have been spent wisely. Organizations get better from the Top down and honestly Jimmy is the issue.
    I feel for him in a way because we tried grassroots football guys to Ivy League bean counters and can't get it right. Building a team just isn't this hard.

    Team Stolen Replacement unsatisfactory for 25 years. Guys come here and play their hearts out and the fans love them. But the organization is dysfunctional for the past 25 years.

  5. I hate to say it but I thought they were overrated last year, especially the "historic" defense, and the playoff debacle proved it. They barely won most of their games either by sheer luck or the other team choking. If they start a rebuild under Berry I seriously will never watch them again. I'm already on my very last straw, 45 years old and an unfortunate Browns fan since the 80s. Even the Lions may finally break out, leaving the old Clowns the only long-term NFL team without a Super Bowl appearance.

  10. They’ve been rebuilding since the new Browns team came to Cleveland. I want my old Browns team back. If I can’t have that then I want a new owner. The front office has no talent for drafting or trading for players.

  16. Yes barely winning most of their games is something many forget. People outside of CLE were wary of watson, thought the defense was one dimensional, and predicted a 500 season. I think they’re better than their record (like if winston or flacco started game 1) but they have holes

  20. They need DTR to prove he is worth keeping next year. Winston is not the solution. If they try to start Watson next season, they will have very few fans to play in front of. Big decisions to make for sure. Andrew Berry is not the guy to be picking players. That's for sure.

  21. Losing Caldwell and van pelt is the start. Doing that for Watson is the sign of the dumbness. That's not Kevin that's berry. I'd be shocked if mid-season firings don't happen. Gotta be run happy not pass happy with Winston.

  24. Fire everybody! Thats always worked in the past hasan't it. The question is, is there a better coach than Stefanski? Secondly is he the real problem or could it be someone else? Lets see! Who has owned this team for 12 years with very little success-I wonder who that might be?

  27. How about cleaning house with Grossi. How long has Grossi been covering the Browns? As long as they have been losing. Need I say more? Get rid of Grossi and the Browns will win. These Browns media types like Grossi, Cabot and Pluto are fools who can’t grasp reality. That’s why Colin Cowherd laughs at these clowns. Reality escapes them. Get rid of Grossi and the Browns will win.

  28. Start with the person(s), who thought Cleveland was a Super Bowl team if only we just got rid of Mayfield! Next the person(s) that thought spending $230 million guaranteed for Watson made Cleveland a Super Bowl team. Lastly, realise the fact that the ownership wrecked this team. As long they own the team it will be groundhog day in Cleveland every year!

  29. What has Berry, DePodesta and Stefanski accomplished?!?! Most of Berry's draft picks have been duds or roster fillers. How many has Berry's players actually became All Pro's??? Any HOF candidates?!?! LMAO!!!! As for Stefanski, his players lack discipline and desire to win. Good teams just don't make this massive number of mistakes EVERY game. FIRE all 3 of them.

  30. And the Browns want a new stadium for the consistently crappy teams they put on the field.They don’t even deserve the stadium they play in now they should make them play in the metro parks

  35. Well the Flacco thing was overrated the team was better last season everyone seems to forget Watson was playing better to until he was injured.When teams look like the Browns from my experience watching the NFL for longer than I want to admit it’s just a bad team talent wise overall

  43. If we still had Hunt and Mayfield things would probably be very different and the Browns wouldn't be considering trading players away. A few years ago I thought here we go, the Browns are finally a good team and we are going up. Now we are on the way back down and may have reached rock bottom already. Haslam, use common sense and get rid of your decision makers, they don't know what they are doing. Don't waste money on a new stadium for this talentless bunch of players.
