Episode 2 – There’s an NHL Team in Utah?

Episode 2
Rich Paul has led Klutch sports to become a powerhouse in athlete representation. A new deal with Monumental Sports and Entertainment is expanding their property representation business, like some of the big legacy agencies they are competing with. What do we think this means for Klutch, what do we think it means for MSE?

After decades of irrelevance and the Donald Sterling drama, team owner Steve Balmer has dumped large sums of money to make Clippers feel like a respected NBA Franchise. The newest investment is a state of the art Arena. Will finally having their own home with all this new tech and game day experience help propel Clippers from the shadow of their in city neighbors the Lakers?

There’s a new NHL Franchise in Utah. Neither of us are Hockey fans but as people in the sports industry who pay attention to big news of the pro teams and leagues, how come we didn’t hear more about this? Is the minimalist approach to brand marketing a missed opportunity to make an immediately splash in a cluttered sports market?
