5. Russ is volatile, and he doesn’t help the nuggets enough. He’s being compared to kcp because that’s what they lost, and that isn’t quite fair.

   However, he is definitely regressing, and the nuggets aren’t in a good position. You do mention russ being able to cut, but denver already has aaron gordon, so I wonder if that’s even a good option.

6. As a Denver fan, you get Westbrook, you hope for the Bestbrook, you deal with the Restbrook.

7. They should use him like they use Aaron Gordon. He should make cuts defend hard rebound hard, set screens be a threat and dish out some passes. I don’t think he needs to be taking multiple threes per game. He definitely shouldn’t be taking any mid range shots, but that’s personally how I feel they should use him when you ask him to do too much is when it seems to fall apart. I don’t know if that’s him or the positions he’s being put in that’s between the coach and him and the team.

8. To be honest, I’m really not sure. Was Russ ever a good threat from distance. Like from beyond the ark? I don’t remember him ever being a strong, three-point shooter, that’s why I don’t understand why he is so confident and willing to take them.

10. Westbrook defense has been pretty, preeeetty damn good.

    I know at lot of people instantly jumped on hating westbrook after the Nuggets started poorly and YouTubers driving their hate train and clickbaiting and going by their moronic takes and blaming West and even more morons on the comments of those videos talking out of their asses blaming westbrook without ever watching a damn Nuggets game this season.

    The reason the Nuggets started poorly got little to do with westbrook play or losing KCP. Is straight up MPJ and Jamal playing like totally rubbish. Jamal specially has been so awful out there looking like the worst starting PG on this league. No making shots, no making jumpers, no finishing at the rim, no moving anyone with his dribble, no bust, no speed, no defense, no rotating. Jamal has been atrocious like BAD BAD. Even on his "best games" this season he looked pretty bad. MPJ is picking his momentum up and is finding his shot again.

    Westbrook is earning a vet mininum is playing some of the best defense of his career, doing winning plays on defense, making opposite guard to pick up their dribble, making them lose the ball, touching pass and deflecting, blocking shots, switching well, energizing the bench, giving the most hustle,energy and leaving his skin on the court. For what is worth Westbrook is being a complete steal. A Vet mininum guy is giving you 10 points, 4rebs , 5apg while playing above average defense yes he's being inefficient, but nights went he goes for 20 on good splits or 20 on 45splits even on his poor night he find ways to be useful. That's something the bench needed since they were so stale and nobody was moving or passing the basketball. Westbrook makes the ball moving

    I think having Jamal and Westbrook is a solid idea ONLY IF Jamal play off ball which he's so reluctance to do for some reason. Jamal should be using screen, coming off screen, letting westbrook be the one starting the offense. He used to do that with Monte Morris, but for some god knows reason he's on denied and reject the idea of playing off the ball and be just catching for the spot off and off screen shots. He always want to have the ball and do PnR and iso dribble like he got moves or speed to blow by people(He doesn't), but he keep trying even if it doesn't work like 80% of the time. Jamal playing SG off ball with Westbrook would be the way to maximize Jamal gravity and shooting to space the floor for Westbrook and no the other way around. Jamal needs to imitate Curry plan and just play off ball man. Make your life easier, don't burn your legs trying to iso and being the one with the PnR handle all the time. Going back to the Kentucky Days and play SG off ball for some part of the game instead of just standing still not moving or not flowing with the offense went he isn't the one with the ball on his hands

14. The shooting percentage is terrible but he is dogging on D, still playing better than Reggie Jackson by a long shot, and he getting to the line like 10 times and that’s really what the nuggs need. The only thing I really hate is the terrible turnovers that he has CONSTANTLY

20. Even in his prime, Westbrook peaked out as about league average finishing at the rim cuz he was always barreling in full speed and not always under control.
