2. This teams reminds me of when the Raps traded Rudy Gay and said they were tanking but look out! They were better than most guessed, and became a play-off run team by lessening an "allstar" who required too many touches and iso ball, with hustling role players filling voids to complete a balanced team. If you can get Edy, pull the trigger!
   I get star power, but you can't be sloppy about it – Copper Flagg plays PF/SF, lets say Raps get him. He's playing off the bench for a few years to come – who you moving out of the rotation? Jak so SB has to play center? Now the team is in trouble. SB can't bang 7 footers like Jak. You have 4 stars on the floor right now, when all playing will need touches to keep numbers effective – Jak fits this starting five, bc he doesn't require the ball. But tanking for another star player isn't what this team needs (right now), it's ready to win! Can't have all the top picks! We have RJ, SB, GD, and O'j as fresh young lottery picks already! Wait to see what you have, then add your Kawhi. If Cooper comes here, RJ or Dick or SB must go to make room, or you are ruining his talent and momentum.

Jak isn't going to be traded – we gave up a 1st to get him and nobody's giving one back to take him . Memphis is not trading Edey.- as much as it would be fun to dream. Pels don't have anything we can use really. Ingram and Scottie are the same player with the edge going to Scottie. Teams that need a win now big are looking at JV for half the trade cost or Mcgee who's a free agent available cheap. Jak isn't expiring either so cap challenges… . 11. I literallt expected this of him. His PER is the same as last year, he just doing more of the same thing he been doibg for years with a few more minutes per game. This is who Yak has been for 5 years now… still amazes me how no one seen it and or hated the guy but now he cool..

12. I really think Jak deserves a chance on a competitive team. The guy's been bouncing around from a struggling Raptors team to a struggling Spurs team, and then back to a struggling Raptors team. Would be great to get draft compensation or some more young guys in return as well.

13. This early in the season it's already obvious to many of us that center is lowest on our depth chart. I don't get the narrative of "timeline" as Jakob is still only 28 years old while Fernandez and Olynyk won't cut it as even average for NBA center rotations. It only makes sense if there's a trade that includes a legit young center prospect.

14. The Raptors need somebody that can shoot jumpers from 5 foot 6‘ 7‘ out. The only thing Yak can do is lay up and yeah, back out the pain and rebound but man, if only we could get somebody that can not only protect the paint but jumpshot from the paint

22. @ben rogers there is no impossible decision. its simple. raptors are 2 wins 6 losses currently. if raptors are 3 wins 15 after next 9 games, masai will pull the plug on the season early and take offers and move jakob in december. once you get too far behind 500 you are not clawing back with this team. this team only had one three game winning streak last year also.

    also you are not getting zach edey from grizzlies for jakob poeltl. you probably getting marcus smart as salary match and top 8 protected 1st in 2026, and you try to get a 1st from someone else for smart after.

25. I mean Memphis would be silly to give up Edey, but that's the one trade I would entertain for Jak. Otherwise you keep him as competent centers are hard to come by.
