New Orleans Saints Alontae Taylor The Future At CB After Marshon Lattimore Trade

The New Orleans Saints traded away Marshon Lattimore, and Alontae Taylor should be seen as the future at cornerback. One day after Dennis Allen was relieved of his head coaching role, the Saints made the move at the NFL trade deadline, opening the door to a complete rebuild and opportunity to evaluate their young talent. Taylor, Anfernee Orji and Jordan Howden headline the list.

Dallin Holker, Mason Tipton and Jordan Mims are among the young players that need more opportunities with established stars like Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed and others already out or already set. General Manager Mickey Loomis said that the NFL’s trend is to go with an offensive head coach, but special teams coaches should be in greater consideration. Which way will New Orleans go in their search?

  1. Sir can we do a dive into the teams salary cap (playing imaginary gm)..trading cutting players to get to pos cap…(jordan gay hill Mccoy Kamara davis honey badger..miller…j johnson etc etc etc)…this ep request please cut days…and shifting cap hits to next yr..how many yrs to get the cap fixed

  2. Feels heavily like everyone but DA and Mickey was ready for a total change even the players. Even Rizzi. What it must be like to know in your heart the team is hurting for change and the guy at the helm could care less to make one.

  3. I can’t believe most of the fanbase and the media just don’t get it. Let me make this simple. As long as Mickey Loomis is the GM a true rebuild is impossible. Since, 2006 he has traded back one time and traded up tons of time giving away valuable draft picks. He does not value draft picks. This is why we have no depth and very little starting talent. He will just trade away those extra picks we just acquired. He also has kept us in salary cap hell and he hired Dennis Allen and just went on WWL and said Dennis was a great coach. Please please please Mrs Benson fire Mickey Loomis so we can start this rebuild with a real GM.

  4. Nothing will change until the Saints draft a new QB and start fresh from there. Enough with the band aids behind center! How is this not the focal point of this organization? I understand that these latest moves are supposed to mark the new era but again, the QB position better be front and center on the minds of the ownership right up to draft day 2025.
