  2. Sign either Burnes Sasaki, Buehler, Fried or Manaea, bring up Sproat and keep Senga and Peterson for the back end starting staff. Leave Megill and Butto as spot starters and long relievers. Resign Stanek, and keep Garrrett as righty relievers. Keep Young and sign the former Yankee lefty who pitched for the Pirates in 2024. Bring up Gilbert, Williams and Acuna whenever each player is ready sometime in 2025. Acuna could be the ready right after the 2025 Spring Training season to start CF or 2B. Sign Santander to DH and trade Marte. Mauricio is still very much injured to where there is no way he is going to be up in AAA or in the Majors anytime soon. 1B might be better off with Christian Walker who will hit close to 25 HRs, and play a much better 1B than Alonso. The Mets should sign him. Soto can hit but he is a fielding disaster. If the Mets go after him it might be to their advantage to have him play LF rather then RF. LF is a much easier position to play than RF. Nimmo plays well in both LF and RF although his throwing has always been suspect at best.
