Although I am convinced we won’t get him back, I still feel like “Willy watch” is something I want to keep up with until I know where he is headed
So roughly 7×23. If Willy would take 5×25 I’d keep him.
No chance he goes to the Mets lmao. And not even because he can get more money but because that locker room made its bed with Milwaukee this past year

Love hearing Mets fans claim to be gritty underdogs
Me: i don’t want to miss Willy don’t make him leave me
*monkeys paw curls*
Milwaukee is one hell of a farm system for big markets, hey! What a great league. So fun and totally fair league and all! I love it. I just wanna keep spending my paycheck on this stuff
Can we have their 3b then? Wasn’t Vientos basically an equal offensive presence?
Eh, I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one for two specific reasons:
Willy isn’t getting any younger
He has literally *never* played 3B at any level of play.
Might as well ask him to play OF at that point.
Rather have him there than the Dodgers
He’d be an idiot not to take an offer like that. I’m sure there will be more, but no way he comes back to us unfortunately.
Dude is 29, I’m sure he’s not considering it but he will not be an elite SS at 36. Getting paid like one is a huge W.

Good advice
Not sure how deep the Mets pocket is, but if they get Willy AND Soto, I can’t see us getting a 1 or 2 seed in the playoffs, in which case we’d (assuming we made it) be in yet another wild card situation….UGH! That being said, the Yankees have proven that money doesn’t always make things pan out accordingly.
23 million a year really isn’t as bad as I would think. I feel the Brewers could compete with that quite easily.
Lmao Adames at 3B is crazy. Love Willy and would love to have him back but him at 3B is not a good idea.

I really thought the Cubs would go after Willy
Seven years is wild. High strikeout guys with a big part of their value being defence do not age well.
