  1. Wishing all the best for Brock!

As for the game, I thought that was a really good effort from top to bottom. Heinen-Blueger-Sherwood were in the mud all game, just grinding and digging along the boards for 20, 30 seconds at a time. Desharnais (after his tough start) and Brannstrom looked solid, both of that made some good plays on the PK. All four lines had scoring chances, Lankinen is playing so well and brings such a calming influence in the rest of the team, too.

Oh, we also have the best defenseman in the NHL. Good fucking god. Goal, assist, shot blocks, ankle breaking, scoring chances, physical play, talking trash in the penalty box. He played out of his mind tonight. Talk your shit, Huggy!

Best looking game of the season in terms of systems play. Relentless forechecking, good defensive positioning, excellent (and I do mean *excellent*) neutral zone transition.

Think about this team with a healthy Demko and Dakota injected into the lineup.

Think about Pettersson finding his stride literally anytime before the playoffs. I think he looked a bit better this game. Guy has a ton of runway ahead of him, too.

  3. lmao and i was naive to think last year was hughes’ peak 😭sorry for underestimating you quinn

  4. First game against a decent team where they looked like last year’s team. Pretty encouraging.

  5. After attending that horrendous Devils game last week, this road trip made me feel a little better.

  6. Canucks have looked great on the road, please start having some home success now on this 6 game home stand

  7. Also give Quinn an honourable mention Gordie Howe hatrick for a goal an assist and coincidental roughing minor

  8. I’m in the Yukon and we stopped changing time so during the summer I’m on BC time and winter I’m an hour ahead and the 8 pm starts are killing me, I’ve fallen asleep during the 3rd period these last two games… woe is me.

  9. Is there a reason Brännström played sheltered minutes? I haven’t really noticed him doing any massive blunder. Only that one goal that wasn’t really on him alone. He’s continued to play wery well, is Tocchet trying to avoid a Sprong situation? Get his trust first, then let him play like 15 minutes
