  1. I don’t think you can “no longer” be doing something if you were never doing it to begin with

  2. It’s important to save money this money now so that we have even more money to not spend on FAs in the future

  3. The Cubs are not serious about winning. They will lie to your face & say they are while trying to find their “value in the margins”.

So much idiocy, take your value in the margins bullshit to somewhere that isn’t a top market & get me a front office & owner with balls.

All the blind sheep who praise the Cubs for 85 fucking wins & think we have tier 1 talent with Seiya & Happ get fucked. The Dodgers & the Yankees can fill out a fucking starting lineup between them of players you’d pick before you got to any of Jed’s bargain talent.

THATS NOT WINNING, ITS STEALING. STEALING MONEY FROM FANS, STEALING TIME FROM FANS. GET SERIOUS PEOPLE SECOND PLACE DOESNT FUCKING CUT IT

  4. As much as I want Soto, 13 years 600 mill + is crazy

Edit: Not saying they shouldn’t, just saying it’s crazy

  5. Always good to make a public announcement regarding shit everyone already knew, very helpful.

  6. Insted we’ll probably trade away our young prospects, that could potentially turn into the next Juan Soto, for some 30 year old hitter.

  7. We could still get a solid clean-up bat, sign a good Sp, and pick up a good back-end reliever. That would make us a better team than last year.

Also, we’re gonna have to do at least 1 big trade with all the great prospects in AAA and limited room on the team. My dream would be Rooker or Guerro, but I imagine there’s someone great on the trade block were not aware of that could fill out this lineup well.

  8. Wow, it’s a whole week and a half. Good try. That’s what we’ll be saying next September when we’re 3 games over .500 and missing the playoffs again.
