  1. there was another call that extended a TB TD drive. chiefs #2 was called for horse collar, which was correct, however, he was egregiously held by the left tackle to allow the runner to get around him, prompting him to grasp for whatever he could once he got free from the hold.

  2. He flopped. People are just mad the chiefs win, and their team doesn't. That's all it comes down to. The refs miss calls, the refs blow calls. They're human we can't expect them to be 100% perfect.

  3. The Smith/Dhop "illegal block" as you called it, what was illegal about it. I believe that it is legal to block in the back within 1 yard of the line of scrimmage and as you can clearly see it happen almost on the LOS. Both the white hat and the C were in position to have a clean look and apparently they didn't think it was a foul. Even if it isn't legal, Smith should have controlled his emotions instead of pushing D-Hop in front of the white hat. Stupid play by Smith.

  4. It's the losers cry to blame the refs, it's part of being a fan of sports. The more your team wins the more hate comes your way. Don't let it consume you though. Great job Jackson πŸ‘

  5. Good, in my opinion, objective commentary. Chiefs fan here. Really like Baker and glad he's found a good home. Rooting for him and the Bucs in the NFC.

That being said I agree with everything you said.
-That should have been a block in the back on Hopkins although a WR illegal block on a run is something rarely called in any game although it happens all the time. Hopkins also did flop. To your point, the TB player did put himself in a position for a flag. Play is dead. Refs are moving/looking around and see someone push and someone fall. A veteran move. The foul/flag/etc is mostly going to be called on the retaliator.

-Blatant false start at the end. Watching live I couldn't believe there wasn't a flag. Based on time of game and stakes I think there should have been more points allocated to the Chiefs. 3rd and 1 on the 2 is much different than 2nd and 10 on the 11 in a TD wins the game scenario.

-The pass defense was legal imho. Def made play on the ball and contact was at time of reception not before.

Overall, officiating didn't stick out to me. My only asterisk is the no-call false start.
What were your thoughts on Bowles going for OT vs 2 and the W/L?
To me, it's a no win situation for the coach unless you win. If you win the right call was made. You lose- every late game decision is scrutinized.

  6. Great analysis. Not biased. Agree Taylor should have had the call. The disconnect comes when fans think a games was "stolen" from them. They never give the other team credit for maybe, just maybe, overcoming a penalty.

Every game with every team has calls that should have been made and weren't and calls that were made that shouldn't have been. People notice the Chiefs because they're at the top. In the 2000s it was the Patriots. Packers have had this accusation, too.

Teams know this. They also know they need to get the job done despite good and bad calls.

  7. Actually think it should have been offensive pi because the defender was within 5 yards when the receiver grabbed mcduffey threw him asids to creat separation.

  8. Truly wouldn't even care if the Chiefs were favored. The buccs could have won on a 2 pt conversion and Bowles didn't do it. That's the issue

  9. Honestly, I think it's just basic ass confirmation bias. People already have their conclusion, and their brains naturally pounce on any data point to sustain that conclusion while ignoring anything to the contrary.
I watch way too many games, missed and bad calls really aren't anything special
