Thing is, I’m not sure Ja’Marr got more expensive. Everyone knows who he is. I don’t know what actually prevented the deal but there’s no way even our organization didn’t know the price either way.
This is a pretty easy one, the Bengals don’t have the money to put in escrow for a Chase contract, or don’t want to lock up that much money all at once. I mean honestly people can mock ownership all they want but that’s like a quarter of what they are worth between Burrow and Chase. They likely need the time to secure the funds to do it.
Trey getting much more expensive too. We’re going to need to rely on the water boy to split snaps on defense. I expect him to walk since “he already signed the contract”.
Is anyone really surprised this front office mismanaged this team and its players? I mean, really- are you actually surprised?
