Threes for everyone

  1. I’m really enjoying the modern nba bulls. 3 point barrages are excellent when we’re doing them

  2. And it still feels like we have stretches where we can’t make anything

But I like this at least

  3. This is good news. It’s time we modernized this team. Sure we are going to sucks for awhile, but I can confidently say this actually feels like the first time in a very very long time the bulls have tried to modernize.

  4. They are also first in pace so I suppose that fast, bad basketball is better than slow, bad basketball.

  5. Why play basketball when you can just shoot 3s? The math proves it’s more efficient when you become good at jacking up 3s, so why not ruin the game of basketball?

Does anyone over the age of let’s say 35 enjoy all the 3s in today’s game?

  6. Modern basketball style = boring. Devoid of any passion. I hate to say it but no one on the team has heart. That’s what differentiates the greats from the goofs (I’m looking at you Lavine).

  7. I’m genuinely enjoying this season so far. My prediction was that the Bulls would score a lot of points, concede a lot of points and ultimately be a bad but entertaining team. And isn’t that *exactly* the right thing to be this season?

It gives us a chance to rehab the value of LaVine with a view to getting him off the books by the trade deadline. That’s progressing nicely – he’s averaging 23/6/3 and shooting 46% from three. Obviously that’s not sustainable but if he can keep it close to 40% and stay available there will be sensible trade offers for him by the deadline.

Similar story with Vooch – he’s giving us 22/11/4 and shooting 49% (!) from three. Again that will obviously normalise but if he can stay within touching distance of 40% we will get trade offers worth looking at.

With them gone we’re free to completely suck for the final two months and keep that top ten pick. We get to watch a whole lot of Sanogo and THT.

If we can trade LaVine and Vooch that would be $67.5m gone from the cap next year. Lonzo is a free agent after the season so that’s another $21.4m gone.

We then have a blank slate to build a new future. This is where I ask you to forget who the owner is and imagine it won’t somehow become fucked again.

  8. I love DeMar but at least this is a step in right direction for todays NBA, and no longer have to watch 30 mid range shots a game 😅

  9. Me in high school in 1996, watching the bulls on WGN with TV antenna since we were too cheap to get cable. I remember the crowd gasping holding their collective breaths every time steve kerr taking a 3 point shot…..2 times per game.
