Freaking better be front runners. Woo the crap out of this guy.
We won’t be.
Cant wait to read tomorrows report that the Cubs already out of the running lol
It’s already been decided, he’s going to the LA Tax Dodgin Samurai’s
Bwahaha
Bet
Prepare for Ross Stripling
He’s a Dodger.
If he’s coming now, he’s not coming for the money. No team can pay him more than a few million. It’s 100% dependent on where he wants to play. Having 2 Japanese players on the roster gives the Cubs a slight advantage over some teams, but not all teams. I can’t imagine the Cubs are favored over the West Coast teams, but we’ll see.
we’re going to be the second choice and he’s going to go to the first choice. it feels pre-determined
We may not get him but Jed will pick up a minor league catcher as a replacement
This would require having the most international money, right? Which does anyone know where the cubs are at on that list?
I saw dodgers having the most. Sooo good luck
There’s literally zero reason to believe he’d sign here over LA
1) Being posted this early means his potential salary is capped. This is not a question of money, it’s a question of where he wants to go.
2) It’s going to be the Dodgers.
Anywhere but LA and I’m ecstatic
He’s going to the Dodgers. If they’re in for him that’s where he goes.
We need hitters
What Dodgers number do you think he’ll wear?
He’s a dodger. It’s so obvious.
We better hope there are no other bidders. 🙄
This may be wishful thinking but this is where I am:
Everyone is saying Dodgers. Roki forced the team to post him early. I think he’s coming to make a name for himself like Ohtani did. He wants to be THE star somewhere, not to join Ohtani’s team. I’m not saying that means that he goes to the Reds or something… I’m just saying that I think he’s goes somewhere other than the Dodgers. For example, Chicago is a huge market and him joining us would make him THE guy in Chicago. Plus we have Imanaga, Suzuki and Darvish would vouch for us. Idk, I may just be delusional but I think this guy is going to be way better than Yamamoto and I hope that we get him.
He’s going to either the Cubs or Giants.
Don’t get excited about this guy, he has already chosen the dodgers long ago.
Seeing so many people underestimate the special lure of a city like Chicago makes me realize that most of the users here don’t actually live in the city, and rarely spend time in it.
Money isn’t the deciding factor in this case, so it’s about the city, organization, and team. Cubs have a really good chance to be chosen, especially since they already landed two premiere Japanese players in the last few years.
Fuck the Dodgers.
I’m going to assume he’s going to the dodgers until I see him sign elsewhere
He should literally be the number 1 priority this offseason.
A star player that you only have to pay a rookie wage??? Tom Ricketts approves!
SI is click bait garbage. Just non stop stories with no basis in reality in attempt to get you to click.

Narrator: They won’t.
[I wonder where Sasaki will be signing?](https://imgur.com/gallery/Hdz31Hf)
Worth noting. If he’s under 2024 allotment Jed will have some work to do.
