  1. if soto is payed 700mil without at least 18 years contract, its dumb.

As a player, he's half of ohtani. Ohtani is as good as him with the bat.

He doesn't have the value of a whole country behind him either, ohtani brought the whole japanese fans with him to the dodgers.

18 years is me being generous if you consider all this variables. You really need at least 20 years if we're talking genuinely for this to be as worth as the ohtani deal

  2. Hey if the Mets wants to pay Soto over 700 million, more than Ohtani, then be my guest, lol. Doesn't change the fact that the Dodgers are gonna run the NL the next 5 years.

  3. Soto is not a great outfielder. He's only a bit better than than your average hitter. Soto might hit 15 homers more, score 25 runs more, hit 30 rbi more. Soto is massively overrated. I don't get the attraction.

  4. 1:25 – reliable on the field? Yeah right! If it's not for the worst innings in baseball this year Sot would've been criticized for the lack of commitment on the field. This guy was literally jogging to fetch the ball.

  5. wont make the mets better. nobody goes to new york to win. they go to new york to get paid. people out to get paid instead of winning dont deserve the chance to play. soto hasnt been elite since 2019. stop acting like hes ohtani or judge. hes not even half

  6. SOTO IS NOT worth the money he(or his agent) is asking for. Especially NOT the contract that Ohtani has! But then again like the saying goes “there’s a sucker born everyday”

  7. When you reference the Ohtani deal. My abstract thoughts relate to the backloaded nature of the deal so could Soto be signed to a deal that pays beyond his playing days?

  8. I'll just make this simple.

Soto just had a career year. There were 2 major factors in New York that contributed to that. Aaron Judge hitting after him and Yankee Stadium. Neither of those belong to the Mets. Beyond that, everyone wants to play for the Yankees. Soto loved the fans and the fans loved him. They were in the World Series in his first year with the team. The Yankees have home field advantage and they're going to offer him a ton of money. Mets won't come close.

  9. Let’s keep this clear,Juan Soto enjoyed very much being a Yankee..Cohen has all the money in the world, that’s it..Soto had a great year and wants a fair offer, not necessarily the most money from the Yankees..A fair offer would be $600 million and te Yankee may offer that type of money.Juan also knows that he need players around him…A contract of $600 million may bring Soto back to the Yankees regardless of how much money Cohen offers…

  10. Soto is not worth an Ohtani contract. He cannot pitch, steal bases or field. He is a very good power hitter who will end up as a DH and his contract will use up much of a teams player budget. As far as his actual age who knows when it involves the D.R.

  11. I'm not so sure he actually is a free agent. Since you're the only one I've heard say it, and you're a Red Sox fan… My assumption is you're just trolling Yankee fans.

  12. saying he can get as much as ohtani is laughable. I like soto but soto aint bringing the support of a country with him and potential two way play. Dunno about all that.
    Dude deserves a bag tho
