[Art Stapleton] Sounds like it’s happening: Giants leaning toward starting Evan Neal at right tackle for tomorrow’s game against Panthers in Germany, per source. That would come with a flip of Jermaine Eluemunor to left tackle, per source.

    > I’m told Giants have been heading in this direction with Neal for several weeks behind the scenes, and getting him ready is unrelated to Chris Hubbard missing practice with an illness on Thursday.

  2. You know what? Ball out, Neal.

Besides, most of y’all were clamoring for him to start at Left Tackle that he hasn’t practiced at since college, so what’s the big deal?

  3. What if, hear me out, Evan Neal is fully healthy for the first time in his career and has turned into Kareem McKenzie 2.0?

  4. Since Andrew Thomas’s breakout season in 2022, here are the Giants’ records with and without the All-Pro caliber LT:

    With: 15-15-1

    Without: 2-9

  5. Curious move. So here’s a thought–what if he plays like a hall of famer? Can you imagine the questions that the coaching staff will have to answer as to why we didn’t play him earlier?

  6. Nothing to lose, go out there and ball out, or don’t idc but it would be nice to maybe get some kind of trade value for him if we can

  7. I worry about the injury clause like the rest of us but I think this is the right move. We need to see if we can get anything out of Neal at all. Chris Hubbard has no long term future on this team and we are all aligned we need to help our draft position for a QB anyway so I’m glad Neal will be out there this weekend rather than Hubbard who maybe gives us a marginally better chance to win.

  8. The panthers thought they could out-tank us by starting Bryce young again but they forgot about Evan Neal. 😂

  9. This is a get right game for Neal OR Daboll knows something that will move forward the Tank Agenda.

  10. How are the Giants so insistent on making ezeudu play tackle, but won’t try neal at guard?

  11. Not sure about you guys, but I’m excited to see where he’s at now. There has to be some type of development, injury recovery during the off season or not, he’s been healthy for 9 weeks now he should have some type of improvement.

Maybe this is Daboll easing Neal back into it, a game against an equally as bad team who knows…

  12. So the 5th overall (or wherever he got drafted, it was a low number) *might* be able to play football?

    Only this team I swear

  13. I mean the Panthers aren’t exactly known for having good pass rush. After all, they gave us their best pass rusher. The Panthers are averaging 1.1 sacks per game this year, second worst in the league. If ever there was a time to throw Neal back in it’s this game.

  14. Every week the Giants keep playing Daniel Jones every week that Schoen and Daboll have less and less excuses about “not picking” their QB.

  15. What if… Giants know Neal can’t handle the left side, and are trying to get DJ hurt but blame it on the shitty playing conditions of a field that’s designed for soccer, so they can get out of the injury guarantee clause?
