If you want to laugh, just remember back two months ago when some people thought this core was good enough to compete or even come close to the playoffs
Suzuki might be overworked and the other team only has to lock him down but his effort is sad, Caufield tries but when he’s not scoring it doesn’t look great, Slaf has been invisible, with no confidence, and no effort, not good enough, Dach is getting better but he’s not a top line winger or a 2c in the NHL.
We better get one or Hagens, Misa, or Martone after this disaster of a year.
looks like we’re getting dick-punched into the new year and beyond
I wonder what obscure forrest gump quote MSL will pull out to get a laugh from the reporters this time!!!
this whole game 😴😴😴

^^(Gallagher👍👍👍)
This is terrible lol. No progression from any of our players, this is depressing. 1 month in and I’m already done, no one is exciting to watch, it’s going to be a long year
How many losses in a row? I’ve lost track.
Our best players looked terrible tonight and that is a bad bad sign.
This was easily the most pathetic performance I’ve watched since the ducharme era
This team is 5 years away from being 5 years away.
Hang tight guys. Monty might not be the one, but Carey Price will be a UFA in 2026, maybe we can target him

We could be 32nd by the end of the weekend. Yikes
*BAD*
– Anyone else think ah losing streak vs a rival maybe they at least put in a solid game tonight against a team on the back to back? Nah.
– I hate the leafs but I honestly don’t care, numb, and all throughout the rebuild this far I haven’t been that way. How do the less diehards feel? Probably already tuned out.
– Suzuki is existing out there these last few games.
– Dach I cannot say one good thing he’s doing right now. We generally have to stop over rating every single player on the team routinely… I think we need to realize sooner that this was a project with high upside that didn’t work.
– Slaf MIA.
– If you think this is overly negative that is fine. I understand it’s a rebuild I’m cool with losing, I am not cool with the absolute abysmal hockey being played. Seriously guys, this team is dogwater.
*GOOD*
– Gallagher kicked back the clock. He is an absolute trooper out there and even sometimes if the production isn’t there it’s a player you just can’t disrespect.
– Gallagher aside the vets are terrible. Why is this good? Well one day when this team hopefully turns things around players like Anderson/Dvorak won’t be around. Patience I guess.
– pushing hard in the third so something?
Yeah, this is a bad hockey team. Sad thing is they aren’t even playing exciting hockey. The games are boring to watch. I’ll always love this team but man, this has been a painful year so far.
I watch the Habs to get away from the stress of life, however this team is not providing that stress relieving entertainment lol
Gallagher continues to have a surprisingly good season. Good for him.
I thought the line changeups in the third period had some decent effect, even if they ultimately didn’t get on the board.
They’ve clamped down on the defensive zone a decent bit, but that’s also come at the cost of making the team really boring to watch and it’s not exactly turned them into the Jets defensively in the process.
I think we need to be completely honest here.
This isn’t about systems. This isn’t about the coach. This is about the players.
We’re a bad team, and everyone knows it. However, it doesn’t excuse the dogshit effort out there. No one gets mad. No one tries anything on the ice. Our best player is by far Gallagher. That’s not because Gallagher is good again, it’s because the rest of the team isn’t even trying. And effort trumps everything else.
I don’t mind another loosing season, I didn’t think this team was all that good to begin with anyway. However, you can’t let that type of effort stay unchecked. -If they won’t try, they shouldn’t play at all. Reduce their minutes to nothing, scratch one of them and play Pezzetta, Play Heineman and Condotta 20 minutes. I don’t care if we lose 10-0, at least they will have tried.
This cannot be fixed with a change in coaching, and I don’t think there’s anyone in Laval that can fix the mentality of this team. It’s all about the players here. And if they can’t change that, they don’t deserve to play here whenever they get better. Simple as that.
A few quick notes:
– Hutson is still good.
– Thought that Newhook kept up the good play from the last two games. If that’s how he’ll play from now on, I don’t mind it. Special mention on the penalty he took on the Leafs hitting Montembeault.
– Xhekaj and Struble have really started to gell on the third pair. If they can keep building on it, it would be a good thing.
They can’t defend, attack, pass, or shoot. Easily the worst team in the league
No skills, no grit, no system.
You know what would be good for the league? A relegation mechanism
It will be harder to defend Nick poor performance now that he doesn’t benefit from Cole scoring on everyshot. His stats were padded, him and Slaf haven’t been it this year
I’m tired of this
Suzuki is past the “slow start” now, besides everyone he needs to take responsibility for heartless performance of the team. Gally is the only player who seem to play with heart, besides Hutson who plays as a puppy happy to play at all. The team needs ayahuasca session and Marty needs to transition to a coach who is capable of radical decisions
If this team had a single other competent centre I’d say kick Suzuki the fuck off line 1 for a bit because he’s a ghost right now. But of course we don’t.
It looks like we have regressed in every single way possible over last year.
I can understand the defence being a bit shitty since we traded defensemen and replaced them with rookies but the offence is baffling bad, where tf is the effort from Suzuki? Why does Slaf look like he pounded sleeping pills before the game? Do they know how to enter the offensive zone without dump n chase? Why do they watch the puck like they are waiting for their turn with it?
I was hoping for some small improvements, maybe finish bottom 10-8 but holy fuck we look like an absolutely dead last team.
Why do they look so fucking lazy? Did they give up on Marty? Is the system too complex or difficult to understand? What the fuck is going on?!
I’m not going to freak out too much. Just settle in for a good draft pick and hopefully next year with a healthy Laine and Demidov, we will have some cap space to make some moves.
What I don’t want is Kent to get pressured by the demanding fanbase and rush into a trade that won’t matter anyhow.
Some effort for 60 mins would be nice though.
No balls, no system, no fight, no confidence, terrible goaltending, D and offence and worst of all they don’t even look upset about it.
I’m starting to think the boys have given up on St Louis concepts.
Our best players are not even visible most of the time, it’s hard to find anything positive at least in the previous seasons we could see some kind of progression from our younger players, can’t say the same this year
