I’m still mad that Stone traded back Brooklyn their 1st rd picks for the next 2 yrs

  1. Hated it then. Hate it now. Brooklyn was never going to be good regardless of keeping Bridges. We had no reason to accommodate them unless they were giving us Bridges. I don’t think Bridges would have changed our trajectory but doing it for nothing was silly to me.

  2. The Nets would have no reason to tank and would have tried to acquire ancillary pieces or possibly even a big piece without this trade, and we ended with more first rounds pick in the end. Plus honestly how many top 4 picks do we need on this team? Pushing the assets out further (plus increasing them) while we see what we got is smart.

What I really don’t get is how y’all act like it was an equal picks trade, we traded one pick and one swap for a swap and **three** picks. We also got to keep our 2027 swap with Brooklyn

  3. It was a trade based on KDs decline tied to his salary. Not working out as good as we hoped so far.

I still hope the Nets go full tank mode and give us CamJohnson for expirings. He can play PF until Bari figures it out.

  4. Being able to draft role players on inexpensive deals after these looming extensions have been settled will be amazing. And if they’re used for a blockbuster deal? Sweet. Whichever.
