Mark Murphy is the reason I am a Packers fan. I met him in the mid eighties. He took his kids to the Dr that my mom worked for. Great guy
My brain seeing this post: “I didn’t know Mark Murphy played for us before becoming out CEO. I thought he only played for the Redskins. Oh, right. Wrong Mark Murphy.”
We used to chase down police cars for those cards. Of course, in those days the Brewers ones were much more popular.
This is about the time I started paying attention to the Packers. I liked Murphy quite a bit and then Chuck Cecil arrived and I was hooked.
Mark Murphy’s mom lives near me in Florida. There is an awesome Packers bar right down the road from me. Up until a few years ago she went there for every Packers game. She still goes there for some games. Sweetest lady ever, loves the Packers!
