[Mark C. Healy] For the love of all that is holy, there is no #Mets offer to Willy Adames. None. Zero truth, and I’m already seeing multiple content creators regurgitating the original BS source.

  1. They have 5 players between AAA and MLB that could handle 3b and moving Adam’s to 3B lowers his value. Makes no sense

  2. As I said in the other thread and was downvoted – this move would make zero sense. Money better allocated elsewhere

  3. I saw that on Facebook and threw my hands up and said “I can’t handle this shit right now”, so I hope that this is the case.

  4. I had a feeling. Because the original guy that said it has been wrong a lot in the past. This is why I only follow passan

    I’m glad it is wrong.

  5. Thank god. I already wrote a damn essay on why Adames is a bad idea, but that’s fine.

  6. Anyone who understands the offseason knew off rip that it was a suspicious report. The Mets get insane penalties for signing QO players— and the first one they entertain in years is … Willy Adames…?

The Mets, much like other teams with high payrolls, are not entertaining anyone with a QO until the Juan Soto situation has been settled.

  7. I’ve always thought Adames was a great ball player, I think he’d be a great fit for the team. IF he would play 2nd and his price tag wasn’t so high. Acuna had a great but very small sample in the majors, let’s not forget he didn’t lights AAA on fire last year.

  8. It did/does seem like a strange overpay. I’m not exactly a fan of it. I’d rather someone at the hot corner with more consistency on offense.
